Target: Donald Trump
Goal: Denounce Donald Trump for spreading lies about 9/11 claiming that thousands of people in New Jersey celebrated the fall of the Twin Towers.
Donald Trump spread a lie at one of his rallies, claiming that thousands of people in New Jersey celebrated the fall of the World Trade Center on September 11. If spreading this lie wasn’t bad enough, Trump continued to defend this lie at another rally.
Trump claims he saw these “thousands and thousands of people” on television and read about it online, but there are no reports or videos of this claim, despite massive media scrutiny over the subject. Trump even went so far as to use verbal descriptions of people jumping from the buildings to add emotional sensationalism to his false claims.
Trump continues to spread dangerous, hate-filled lies about various minorities, the most recent being Muslims. His hate and falsehoods have incited violence, as there have been at least two reported incidents of his supporters brutally beating people like a Latino man and a “Black Lives Matter” protester.
Tell Trump to stop spreading these straight up lies and start telling the truth by signing the petition below.
Dear Mr. Trump,
You are spreading a complete lie about something as sensitive as 9/11 and it is sickening. You claim that you saw on TV and read online that thousands of people in New Jersey were celebrating the fall of the World Trade Center on September 11. There are no reports or videos to support this claim, yet you continue to defend it.
Your lies and comments lately have seriously crossed a line. What you say is inciting violence against innocent Americans. You cannot continue to go on like this. Stop spreading these disgusting lies and start admitting to the truth.
