Denounce Trump for Supporting Fans Who Beat Up Black Protester

Target: Donald Trump

Goal: Denounce Trump for supporting his fans as they violently attacked a “Black Lives Matter” protester at his rally.

After some of Donald Trump’s supporters violently beat up a Black Lives Matter protester on video, Trump said on Fox & Friends that he supports what they did.

The protester was a black man who reportedly started chanting “Black Lives Matter” at one of Trump’s rallies before taking off his sweatshirt to reveal a t-shirt that also said “Black Lives Matter.” Shortly after, some of the rally attendees surrounded the man and began kicking and punching him as he curled up on the ground. This incident was captured in a video by CNN reporter Jeremy Diamond.

On Fox & Friends, Trump said that maybe the protester “should have been roughed up” because “it was disgusting what he was doing.” Trump claimed that the racial justice protester was “a very obnoxious guy, a troublemaker.” This isn’t the first time Trump has expressed approval for his supporters getting violent. He made similar remarks when two men beat a homeless Latino man and claimed inspiration from Trump.

Trump continues to spread racism and hate and even supports violence. Tell Trump to stop behaving like a child and take responsibility for the crime he is perpetuating.

Dear Mr. Trump,

As if your spreading of hate and racism is not enough, you are now encouraging and supporting violence, especially against minorities. You said that a Black Lives Matter protester at one of your rallies deserved getting violently beaten up. In the past, you also showed support for two men who violently beat a homeless Latino man and said they were inspired by you.

You are a disgusting, hateful man and you need to stop spreading violent messages and support for crimes against innocent people.
