Stop Forcing Bald Eagle to Entertain Audiences

Target: Steve Parish, Martin Long, Stephen Browett and Jeremy Hosking, CPFC 2010 Limited Company Owners

Goal: Retire stressed out bald eagle from endlessly working as mascot.

An overworked 19-year-old bald eagle has allegedly been forced to fly around at noisy soccer matches since 2010. We need to take action to better ensure this eagle is permanently retired.

During a recent soccer match, the animal was said to be nearly punched when fans on both sides became violent towards each other, likely making being around an overly rowdy audience even more stressful. Such an incident would have never occurred if the eagle had not been made to perform in front of a crowd.

Unfortunately, Kayla has never had the chance to simply live her life as mother nature intended, as she was cruelly taken out of her natural environment by a previous owner. Since she is not able to survive on her own in the wild, denying this animal the right to stay in an environment that is more suitable to a bald eagle is taking advantage of her unfortunate circumstances.

Demand this bald eagle be retired and only handled by staff at the sanctuary where she lives if absolutely necessary. Kayla has been overworked for years; she deserves to live out the rest of her life in as natural an environment as possible.

Dear Mr. Parish, Mr. Long, Mr. Browett and Mr. Hosking,

You have been allegedly using a 19-year-old bald eagle to entertain people at soccer matches since 2010. It is important that this animal be permanently retired so that she is able to live out the rest of her days in a more proper environment.

As you know, the animal was reportedly almost punched during a recent soccer match. Such an experience likely made having to fly around over 1,000 screaming audience members even more stressful than usual.

Since Kayla is not capable of surviving in the wild, using her for entertainment purposes is taking advantage of the animal’s unfortunate circumstances. She deserves to spend the rest of her days simply being a bald eagle and living as undisturbed a life as possible in a more suitable environment.

I therefore urge you to immediately retire this animal from her mascot duties. Her life has already been difficult enough; she does not deserve to be exploited for the purpose of trying to get more people to pay for tickets to a sporting event.
