Target: Tennessee state House Republican Caucus Chairman Glen Casada
Goal: Do not kick innocent refugees out of Tennessee.
State House Republican Caucus Chairman Glen Casada reportedly made shockingly deplorable and borderline racist comments after the bombing attack on Paris. Casada reportedly said that the Syrian refugees needed to be rounded up and expelled from the state. He also called on the National Guard to use “whatever means necessary” to prevent any more Syrians from coming in. These people are not known to be dangerous and there’s no reason to expel them all.
Statements like the ones coming from this elected official are irresponsible and dangerous as they only spread fear and perpetuate the hatred that brews when citizens are told to fear certain people. Demand that he revoke his decision to try and expel innocent people living in Tennessee.
Dear Tennessee state House Republican Caucus Chairman Glen Casada,
It has been brought to our attention that you’ve said the Syrians in Tennessee need to all be rounded up and shipped off, out of the state. If these residents of your state haven’t committed any crime, it seems heartless to force them out.
The ideas you’re presenting are dangerous and could perpetuate hatred and racism towards these poor, innocent people. We kindly urge you to please revoke your decision to treat these people like terrorists and allow them to remain in the state.
