Target: Yale SAE President Grant Mueller
Goal: Reprimand alleged racist fraternity members for turning away people of color at Halloween party.
A Yale fraternity member allegedly turned away people of color who showed up at a Halloween party thrown at the Ivy League university’s Sigma Alpha Epsilon frat house. According to someone at the party, a group of Hispanic and black girls were hatefully turned down by the fraternity member who put his hand in their faces and told them “white girls only.” The brother then allegedly pulled a Caucasian girl from the line of people, pushed her inside and began yelling “we’re looking for white girls only.”
Other campus members have come forward on social media with similar claims of being discriminated against. One member says the amount of racism at the university is common. SAE’s international headquarters officials said they will be investigating, but investigating isn’t enough. The blatant, hateful racism at Yale seems to be rampant, according to students who claim this type of behavior happens frequently. Yale needs to start showing zero tolerance for racism. Demand that the man who turned down people of color be reprimanded appropriately.
Dear Yale SAE President Grant Mueller,
A group of Hispanic and black girls were allegedly turned away when they showed up at a Halloween frat party. The host allegedly put his hands in their faces and yelled “white girls only.”
The claims of blatant racism are becoming rampant and this reflects negatively on Yale as a whole. There’s no excuse for students being allowed to display such hate and racism. We demand that the man who hatefully turned people of color away from the party be reprimanded to the maximum extent.
