Target: Commissioner of the New York Police Department Bill Bratton
Goal: Investigate the driver who allegedly ran down and injured multiple trick-or-treating children, and prosecute him as soon as possible.
A car jumped the sidewalk of a residential street in the Bronx on Halloween night and allegedly plowed through a crowd of pedestrians trick-or-treating, killing three people including a ten-year-old girl and an elderly man. The driver and three pedestrians, including two young girls, were taken the nearby Jacobi Hospital where the driver is still in stable condition. The other three victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released. The terrifying event occurred around 5pm on a night traditionally filled with festivities and fun, and investigators are still trying to figure out what happened.
What reports do indicate is that a Dodge Charger sports car driven by a 52-year-old man bumped into another car before careening into the sidewalk and over pedestrians, where it landed in the front yard of one of the homes on the street. The aftermath was shocking, the car halfway through the front of a home with the street below littered with debris and several body parts. Demand that the New York Police Department take this driver into custody as soon as he is released from the hospital and prosecute him to the furthest extent of the law.
Dear Police Commissioner Bratton,
A tragic accident occurred in the Bronx on Halloween night around 5pm, during the time most families were walking the neighborhood streets to trick-or-treat in the spirit of the normally festive holiday. This fun-filled tradition turned gruesome when a Dodge Charger allegedly jumped the curb of a residential street and plowed through a crowd of pedestrians, killing three people and injuring others. One of the lives lost in the crash was that of a ten-year-old girl named Nyanna Aquil.
The driver and three other injured victims were taken to nearby Jacobi Hospital for treatment. The injured victims, who were three, nine, and twenty-one years old, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released, while the driver is still being held in stable condition. Investigators are still trying to discover what caused the accident and have yet to release any details about the identity of the driver of the vehicle involved. I insist that as soon as the driver is released from Jacobi Hospital, that he be taken into legal custody and charged for his alleged crimes to the furthest extent of the law.
