Target: NYPD Police Chief William J. Bratton
Goal: Charge the criminal who shot NYPD officer Randolph Holder in the head and killed him.
New York Police Department officer Randolph Holder, 33, was shot in the head and killed in the line of duty when he and his partner were patrolling in plain clothes then pursued a suspect in Manhattan’s East Harlem neighborhood.
The officers pursued a suspect after they saw a man who matched the description of the person they were looking for from an armed robbery. The suspect then opened fire at the officers who returned fire at him. Officer Holder was then struck in the head and later died at the hospital.
The suspect has been identified as 30-year-old Tyrone Howard. Mayor de Blasio says the entire city is mourning.
Tensions have been high between police and American citizens, especially in New York City, but this was a truly tragic and unnecessary death of an officer who was simply there to serve and protect after a crime was committed. Whoever is found to have done this, urge officials to charge him or her under the full extent of the law.
Dear Chief Bratton,
New York Police Department officer Randolph Holder, 33, was shot and killed in the line of duty after pursuing a suspect who may have committed an armed robbery. This officer was simply doing his job to stop a criminal and has now paid with his life for protecting the public from dangerous people.
His death is incredibly tragic but does not have to be in vain. I urge you to find the criminal responsible for this murder and charge him or her under the full extent of the law for their sickening crime.
