Target: Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of New Delhi
Goal: Prevent sexually violent attacks against children.
A 16-year-old and 17-year-old were arrested for the alleged abduction and rape of a 2-year-old girl who had recently went missing from outside her house in Western Delhi. Police commissioners report that the girl was taken from outside her house and raped in a nearby park, where she was found bleeding. These horrific actions must be stopped. Take action to end sexual assault against innocent children.
In an unrelated case, a 5-year-old was also raped by a man in Eastern Delhi a few days before as two other men watched. These incidents both occurred in the same week that a 4-year-old girl was raped in the capital of New Delhi. Innocent children do not deserve this sick treatment.
Both the 5-year-old girl and 2-year-old girl are in the hospital in stable conditions, authorities have stated. Student organizations held a protest in front of Delhi police headquarters to condemn them for their inefficiency in preventing these crimes. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal spoke out the same day condemning Prime Minister Modi for his failure to take action. Urge the Prime Minister of New Delhi to step up and address proper education and prevention methods to stop these horrendous crimes.
Dear Prime Minister Narendra Modi,
I was devastated to hear about the child rape cases that have been appearing in New Delhi in the past weeks. A 2-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by two teenagers. She was later found bleeding in a park nearby her house. Furthermore, a 5-year-old was raped in Eastern Delhi while two other men watched the assault. What is happening in New Delhi that makes this kind of crime socially acceptable? The public need further education and guilty parties should be charged hefty sentences.
Both of these girls, thankfully, are now in the hospital and in stable condition. However, action, education, protection, and prevention methods should be enforced to stop this type of disgusting crime. Recently, the Chief Minister himself spoke out and scolded your lack of action, demanding to take control of the police department to ensure that something was done about the prevention of these crimes. Unless you take action yourself in the immediate future regarding child sexual assault, I will have to support the Chief Minister’s efforts. I beg you to please prevent child rape.
