Stop Cooking Alligators at Football Games

Alligator-by-Beerded

Target: LSU Student Government President Andrew Mahtook

Goal: Reprimand students for animal cruelty for allegedly killing and cooking alligators, and then posting the gruesome photos to social media.

Students of Louisiana State University allegedly decided to kill and cook whole alligators in their game-day celebration for their teams match against the Florida Gators. Many of the students reportedly posted photos to social media — which show the entire alligators’ bodies some of them appearing skinned as they lie on a grill, and others set aflame in a pit.

These heartless fans chose to celebrate a game at the expense of animals’ lives — by enjoying the killing and feasting of whole animals. This sick idea of game-day fun promotes animal cruelty and should not be tolerated. The photos are gruesome and distasteful. These students represent their college and this bizarre display of carelessness towards animals reflects terribly on their school as a whole. Please demand that the students involved in this sickening stunt are reprimanded if the allegations are found to be true.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear LSU Student Government President Andrew Mahtook,

Some Louisiana State University students allegedly chose to kill and eat alligators as a sick way to support their team during the Florida and Louisiana game. To make matters worse, they reportedly proudly posted gruesome photos to Twitter showing the poor animals skinned and cooking. Something is wrong when people think that this constitutes as harmless and fun way to support their team.

These students show a severe lack of respect for other life and it’s concerning. Not only does it promote cruelty to animals, but their disgusting actions reflect negatively on the school as a whole. We ask you to please reprimand the students involved in this horrendous display of animal cruelty that occurred on campus.

Sincerely,

  4. “So many people insist they are against animal abuse, cruelty, suffering and the inhumane treatment of animals, yet they don’t understand they are actively engaging in and supporting egregious suffering, abuse, cruelty and inhumane treatment when they eat animals and their ‘by-products.’ If you are against cruelty, suffering and inhumane treatment, then you go vegan. It’s just that simple.” – Sarah Kiser
