Target: Mark Brnovich, Arizona Attorney General
Goal: Charge the Northern Arizona University student who allegedly shot four fellow students, killing one, under the full extent of the law.
A confrontation between students at Northern Arizona University ended with freshman Steven Jones, 18, allegedly shooting four fellow students, killing one. It appears the victims were shot multiple times, but police are currently investigating what motivated the shooting.
The slain victim has been identified as Colin Brough. The three others who were shot are Nicholas Prato, Kyle Zientek and Nicholas Piring.
Students are upset that it allegedly took over an hour after the shooting for text notifications warning of danger to go out to the university community. The shooting occurred the same day President Barack Obama was going to visit the families of the victims of the recent massacre at Umpqua Community College in Oregon.
These shootings are becoming all too common of a tragedy for the American people. Urge officials to bring the alleged shooter to justice and charge him to the full extent of the law.
Dear Attorney General Brnovich,
Yet another tragedy has befallen the American people, now in your home state of Arizona. Northern Arizona University freshman Steven Jones, 18, shot and killed fellow student Colin Brough and shot and injured fellow students Nicholas Prato, Kyle Zientek and Nicholas Piring.
Just as we are grieving one mass shooting another occurs. This time the alleged shooter didn’t kill himself, so he must face justice. I urge you to bring the alleged shooter to justice and charge him to the full extent of the law.
