Target: TotalWellness National Account Executive Kara Patch
Goal: Terminate nurse who reused syringes on multiple patients while administering flu vaccinations.
A nurse failed to follow proper medical procedure by reusing her syringe on multiple different patients while she administered a total of 67 vaccinations at the Otsuka Pharmaceutical offices in West Windsor, New Jersey for TotalWellness Health Center. By doing so, she risked exposing them to infected blood that could spread disease or lead to infections due to improper practice. While the needles were changed for each patient, the syringe itself was found to have been used multiple times before disposal and all receivers of the vaccinations are being advised to get tested for Hepatitis B, C, and HIV.
In addition to this dangerous fault in practice, the nurse was also found to have administered a lesser dose of the vaccine than recommended, so all those who received the faulty shots are advised to receive another vaccine. Despite the overwhelming evidence of incompetence and improper training, TotalWellness has yet to announce any sort of disciplinary action taken toward the nurse responsible. Insist that TotalWellness dismiss the contracted nurse from their organization and see to a reevaluation of their license for medical practice.
Dear TotalWellness National Executive Kara Patch,
A recent case was reported of a medical nurse contracted by your company who visited Otsuka Pharmaceuticals in West Windsor, New Jersey and administered 67 vaccinations to its employees with improper and dangerous practice. The nurse was found to have been reusing syringes for multiple patients and risking their exposure to infected blood and spreading disease, while already endangering the patients with the risk of infection due to the malpractice itself. On top of risking their patients health, the nurse also administered too low a dose of the vaccine and therefore did not properly vaccinate any of their patients.
A spokesperson for your company spoke out about the incident and stated that the company way working with the New Jersey Department of Health to provide necessary resources and mitigate any medical concerns for all those improperly vaccinated. However, it was not stated if any disciplinary action will be taken towards this nurse or if any action will be taken toward the contracted employee to ensure this doesn’t happen again in the future. Please make sure that this nurse is terminated and that their medical practice license is reevaluated before they are permitted to treat any further patients.
