Justice for Student Whose Top Test Scores Were Purposely Switched

Target: Ibrahim Mahlab, Prime Minister of Egypt

Goal: Reform Egypt’s corrupt government after student’s test scores were purposely switched.

Mariam Malak, a 19-year-old student, has been a victim of Egypt’s corrupt legal system when her high-scoring final exam answers were blatantly switched with another student’s. Following this unfair incident, Malak appealed to the education authority from her small town and was ignored, damaging her chances of someday achieving her dream of becoming a doctor.

This act of forgery has caused Malak extreme emotional and physical stress. Malik’s experience highlights how Egypt’s legal system favors the rich and forgets the poor. Corruption like this inhibits the growth of a nation and prevents an equitable distribution of resources.

Corruption will not be solved unless we bring light to the issue. The officials who ignored Malak’s pleads must be stopped in order to fix Egypt’s legal system. Please urge Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab to punish these officials and bring justice to Mariam Malak.

Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab,

An Egyptian student, Mariam Malak, has been subjected to your legal system’s corruption when her final exam scores were switched, subsequently cutting her chances of becoming a doctor. When she appealed her scores to officials, they ignored her.

Children under your government should be able to achieve the dreams they wish to accomplish and your citizens should have equal access to justice. This act of corruption is one of many that have been highlighted in the news and is damaging lives. If you do not do anything to stop this, your citizens will suffer.

The corrupt activity should in no way be tolerated and justice must be served. Please punish the officials who ignored Malak’s appeal and allow Malak to obtain her rightful test scores.
