Success: Fox Hunting Ban Preserved

Fox-by-Peter-Trimming

Target: Harriet Harman, Leader of UK Labour Party

Goal: Thank activists for fighting to keep UK fox hunting ban in place.

Activist groups in England and Wales have been fiercely fighting to keep a fox hunting ban in place that denies hunters the right to use a pack of dogs in order to flush–or force–foxes out of their holes when trying to hunt them down. Everyone who fought for this cause should be thanked for their hard work, as foxes will have much-needed protections as a result.

Massive protests began occurring immediately after the UK government announced it would once again make it legal for hunters to use more than two dogs to hunt and help capture foxes. The decision to ban this practice is surely a victory, as oftentimes a fox is mauled to death and brutally killed by several dogs when they are used to hunt one down.

Besides doing their best to make people aware of how cruel this practice is, activists also pointed out that if the ban is lifted, it will be more difficult to catch hunters who practice illegal hunting methods using dogs.

Sign this petition to thank Harriet Harman, the rest of the Labour Party, and activists such as those dedicated to helping ForceChange causes become a reality for fighting to keep this ban from being lifted. Because of their hard work and dedication, many foxes will have a chance to see one more day.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Ms. Harman,

As you know, activist groups have been protesting the fox hunting ban being lifted in England and Wales that would allow hunters to use several dogs to hunt down a fox. Since you and your party have been main contributors to this fight, we as activists would like to thank you for all of your efforts to ensure that this ban stays in place.

This news is especially great, because whenever a fox is being killed by many dogs, it usually suffers a great amount of pain while it is being mauled. In addition to educating people about this inhumane practice, activists such as yourself have also made people aware that it would be harder to catch hunters who are practicing illegal hunting methods with dogs if the ban is lifted.

While the fight may not be over for good, we are happy that foxes—at least—no longer have to suffer such vile brutality. Thank you very much again for all of your hard work and efforts, and especially for giving foxes one more chance to run free.

Sincerely,
