Target: Thailand National Police Chief Somyot Pumpanmuang
Goal: Applaud the capture of the main suspect in the Bangkok shrine bombing.
The main suspect in the recent Bangkok shrine bombing in Thailand has been arrested by authorities, Thailand’s Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha said. The arrested man is a foreigner and was arrested close to the Cambodian border. With help from petitions like ForceChange’s Find Person Responsible for Deadly Bangkok Bombing, all resources have been utilized to find this man.
The arrested man resembles the man in the footage taken around the time of the bombing, and officials also obtained the bomber’s DNA from the motorcycle and tuk-tuk taxis he used. The man, like authorities suspect others are doing, was fleeing the country. Arrest warrants have been issued for three further suspects.
This arrest is a major victory in bringing justice to the victims of the tragic explosion that killed 20 and wounded 100 more when it exploded at Bangkok’s Erawan shrine. Justice and understanding in these situations can help to prevent similar ones in the future so we can work towards protecting innocent people of the world and ensuring international safety.
Applaud the capture of the main suspect in the Bangkok shrine bombing and this step towards achieving justice.
