Target: Sheriff John Hanlin of Douglas County
Goal: Locate and arrest young men who killed a puppy by throwing it onto the ground.
A group of juvenile men was allegedly seen throwing a small puppy onto the ground, ultimately causing it to die from internal injuries brought on by the violent impact. The witness who saw the incident chose to try and save the puppy over trying to catch those responsible. The people who committed this cruel crime need to be found and held accountable for these actions; tell the county Sheriff’s this is an investigation that needs to be taken very seriously so these young men can never do this kind of vile thing again.
After reportedly seeing the group violently throwing a tiny dog onto the ground in Myrtle Creek, Oregon, a witness tried to stop the assault and caused the young men to flee, leaving the dying animal on the ground. The dog was then retrieved and rushed to the nearest vet but unfortunately died before being able to reach help. The ASPCA is offering a reward for information that leads to the location and arrest of those responsible for killing this dog.
These individuals need to be found immediately and the community needs to know about and spread word of this terrible crime to help increase the chance that these suspects will be found and properly identified. Once they are found, Sheriff Hanlin of Douglas County needs to make sure their crime is not handled lightly. This helpless puppy should not go without justice.
Dear Sheriff Hanlin,
A witness recently tried to stop a group of young men as they reportedly slammed a puppy into the ground, leading to its internal injuries and death. These people have not yet been found, and efforts to get them off the streets need to be handled seriously. This was an act of cruelty against a baby animal with no means of defense.
Please spread the word about this incident and offer incentive to try and convince those with possible knowledge to come forward. Animal cruelty is a serious act of violence against creatures with no understanding of why they are being mistreated, and the more people who hear about what happened, the more likely that those responsible will be found and your office can charge them accordingly. Keep fighting to help this puppy’s death hopefully save other animals in the future.
