Demand Investigation into Innocent, Unarmed Teen Allegedly Killed by Cops

Target: Seneca, South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson

Goal: Conduct proper investigation into case where a police officer allegedly killed an unarmed teen.

An unarmed, innocent teenager was reportedly shot by a police officer in a Hardee’s parking lot and his family and attorney believes the two gunshots were uncalled for. Police claimed the boy was driving towards the officer, so they shot him–in the chest and shoulder–but attorneys said independent autopsy results showed that he was shot from behind at close range. If the teenager was shot from behind, the excuse that police shot him because he was driving towards them would appear to be a lie.

The coroner reportedly told attorneys that based on the location of the bullet wounds and where he was shot from, this was a homicide. Seneca police have refused to name the officer who fired the deadly shots, but they say he was placed on administrative leave. The police chief doesn’t seem to care as he’s reportedly trying to write it off by saying it was self-defense.

The police are refusing to release information and are keeping the family in the dark. This secrecy is unacceptable. The family deserves answers and the young victim who was unnecessarily killed by an officer deserves justice. Demand that the Attorney General conducts a proper investigation of the officer responsible for this senseless killing immediately.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Attorney General Alan Wilson,

An unarmed, innocent teenager was reportedly shot and killed by a police officer, even though the boy was not being arrested or suspected of any crime. The police have made statements that appear untrue, based on independent autopsy results regarding the young man’s death.

This senseless killing cannot be ignored. We urge you to conduct a proper investigation of the officer who allegedly fired the deadly shots.

Sincerely,
