Stop Hate Crimes in Jerusalem

Target: Israeli Prosecutors

Goal: Put attacker behind bars for life so he can’t commit any more hate crimes.

An attack at a gay pride parade in Jerusalem recently left six people with stab wounds, sources say. Apparently the man accused of the crime, Yishai Shlissel, was recently released from prison. Shlissel, an Orthodox Jew, served ten years for a crime he committed in 2005.

The crime for which he served a prison sentence was attacking people at a gay pride parade. The Israeli Prime Minister said authorities plan to “pursue justice for those responsible.”

Shlissel clearly did not learn his lesson, if the latest accusations are true. Urge Israeli prosecutors to put him behind bars for life so he can’t commit more hate crimes.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Israeli Prosecutors,

A recent attack at a gay pride parade in Jerusalem has left six people with stab wounds. The person accused of the crime, Yishai Shlissel, was recently released from prison after serving ten years for committing a similar crime in 2005.

We the undersigned urge you to jail him for life if he is found guilty so that he can no longer commit hate crimes.

Sincerely,

Ok now what about a petition to protest Israel’s killing last summer of 2000 Palestinians in Gaza ? Somebody has their priorities screwed up.
