Target: Mr. Leo Saco, Chief of Police for Medford, Massachusetts

Goal: Fire detective for allegedly threatening to “blow a hole” through someone’s head for a traffic violation.

A horrifying video has just surfaced of a plainclothes police detective allegedly threatening to “blow a hole” through someone’s head for a traffic violation. The entire sordid incident was caught on a dashboard camera and uploaded to the internet by the scared victim. Aggression and violent threats like this are unacceptable from police officers, doubly so when they are out of uniform and unidentified. Something must be done to prevent this violent, out-of-control detective from actually following through on one of his alleged threats.

The victim, who was afraid to release his full name, reportedly took a wrong turn and accidentally found himself driving in the wrong direction around a rotary. He quickly rectified the mistake but was allegedly followed by a red pick-up truck that was flashing its high beams. The out-of-control detective reportedly jumped out of the truck, screaming his violent threats and immediately started reaching into his pocket. He then allegedly pulled out a badge and began to berate the victim, saying if he weren’t a cop he would be “beating the piss out of him.”

This type of conduct is beyond out of line with all of the police shootings that have been happening recently and a greater punishment than suspension must be leveled against this officer. It’s true that the victim did drive the wrong way, but that kind of response is just unacceptable. There is a terrifying culture of violence that runs through many of the police working in the United States and if actions like this are not punished accordingly, it will continue to flourish. Sign here to demand that this detective be terminated without his pension immediately.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Police Chief Saco,

In a recently surfaced video, one of your officers, who was out of uniform, allegedly threatened to kill and beat a man that accidently drove the wrong way around a rotary. This type of violent behavior has become all too common among police recently and the time has come to put an end to the culture of violence that many police officers subscribe to.

Threatening to “blow a hole” through someone’s head is about as serious a threat as can be made. For that threat to come from an actually armed police detective is even worse, particularly with all of the recent instances of police brutality and violence that have been taking place all over the country. Threats may just be hot air, but all too often they turn into reality.

I am writing to demand that the officer in question be terminated from his position before he afforded the opportunity to make good on his threats. I ask this because harsh punishments are the only way to truly curtail the culture of violence in policing and suspension does not seem to be having the desired effect. I know you will make the right decision. The country is watching, after all.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  1. These sinning fools that think this is right better re think their actions before we become to aware and fight back against their threats of violence and abuse of our freedom and rights. These men will never see heaven as they are the true sinners on earth, God may forgive all but the devil will keep these men from entering heaven.
