Target: Ms. Valerie Harrison, Acting President of Lincoln University
Goal: Terminate sexist professor for his alleged disgusting comments on social media.
A university professor has reportedly made disparaging remarks about women, the President of the United States, the LGBT community, and all non-Muslims in a pathetic attempt at self-promotion. Kaukab Siddique is a tenured professor at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania which is a public school funded by taxpayer dollars. He has been known to make inflammatory remarks in the past, but for his most recent comments, his school has merely “distanced” itself from him and not taken any steps to reprimand or discipline him.
In the past, Professor Siddique has openly denied the Holocaust, claiming that it is a Zionist conspiracy. Now he is under fire for comments he is said to have made about the recent Bill Cosby scandal, including such gems as “Many women are sluts,” and “American women are slaves to rich men.” According to reports, hee went on to claim that this, meaning Cosby’s alleged actions, is how “most non-Muslims behave.” In one swipe, Siddique demeaned every woman and man who is not Muslim living in the United States. This type of behavior is clearly nothing more than shock advertising for his own personal misogynistic ideology, yet for it, he must be punished.
Professor Siddique has a Constitutional right to free speech–he is welcome to say and do as he pleases so long as he does not incite violence. That being said, he has no right to employment at a public university. He has no right to spread his bigotry, misogyny, and misinformation. He is not entitled to his position and he must be relieved of it immediately before his words and hatred do any more harm than they have already done. Please sign here to demand that the Lincoln University terminate this man immediately.
Dear Ms. Harrison,
It has come to my attention that one of the professors at your university has been accused of making some inflammatory remarks about women, the LGBT community, the President of the United States, and all non-Muslims. In a few short strokes, he reportedly labeled “many women” sluts and said that most non-Muslims act like Bill Cosby, implying that they are rapists. While I understand that Professor Siddique has a right to his opinions and his free speech, what I don’t think he has a right to do is getting paid to spread them to the hardworking people of Pennsylvania.
The hardest part about writing this letter is that on some subjects, Professor Siddique is well on point. His messages that most Muslims are not terrorists and that many who do commit extremist acts are victims of circumstance all resonate with me. That being said, his disparagement of everything non-Muslim and his insult to every man and woman in the United States who is not one are unacceptable and I demand action be taken. I understand that you have taken steps to distance yourself from this man, but I ask you to go further and relieve him of his position immediately.
