Target: Manchester Chief of Police
Goal: Protect child from man who allegedly tried selling her to strangers.
A 28-year old man carried around a 3-month old baby girl who he reportedly tried selling to strangers at the Barton Arcade shopping mall for $1,500.
According to reports, the man also sought out strangers in a store, and even in the streets, about purchasing the baby.
After what was referred to as a “major manhunt,” he was reportedly arrested — thanks to witnesses who did the right thing by notifying police — on suspicion of child neglect and was being questioned by police late Monday morning. Information regarding any charges or punishment has not yet been released, but the baby was reported to have been found and safe.
To make the case more disturbing, outlets reported that police say the baby’s mother was reported missing three weeks ago.
This man could’ve put the child up for adoption and ensured she had a safe, loving family to care for her. However, he allegedly tried selling her to any random stranger, which would show just how unstable and unfit he could be as a guardian. If the baby’s mother has been missing since last month, as reports claim, then it could be possible something sinister is going on.
A man who reportedly tries selling a child should be given more than a child neglect charge and he should never be able to have any contact with the child again.
Please urge the police to make sure they find out what happened to the missing mother and to take immediate action to ensure that this poor baby is removed from the man’s custody forever and placed somewhere she will be safe and well cared for.
Dear Manchester Chief of Police,
A man reportedly attempted to sell a baby to random strangers for $1,500. Her mother has reportedly been missing for weeks. This man, who may be a relative or someone who has custody of the child might be unfit as a parent or guardian. This child should be placed with people who will keep her safe and well cared for. Please provide this innocent child with proper protection by ensuring that, if proven true, he’s never allowed contact with her again and that she’s removed from his care or guardianship. Please also put in efforts to find out what happened to her missing mother.
