Demand Maximum Sentence for Alleged Dog Abuser

Großer_Schweizer_Sennenhund

Target: South Bend, Indiana Judge John M. Marnocha

Goal: Demand alleged dog abuser be punished to the full extent of the law if found guilty.

A woman from South Bend, Indiana who allegedly abused her dogs appeared in court for the first time recently on four animal cruelty charges. Keontah White is now facing four misdemeanor counts of animal abuse after authorities say she abandoned her two dog and threw one in the garbage.

Neighbors caught White on their surveillance video displaying what appeared to be her taking out her two dogs to the alley near her house. Disturbed by what they saw, the neighbors decided to investigate the situation and actually found one of the dogs dying in a trash can. In that moment, they alerted authorities about what they uncovered.

It was later revealed that the dog was in very poor health conditions. The police also found the other dog seen in the video hiding in a nearby bush. The dog found in the trash can had to be put down, while the other dog is now recovering at the home of a Animal Care and Control worker. Officials say that both dogs clearly exhibited signs of abuse and neglect.

Demonstrators showed up to the court where White’s hearing was taking place and picketed outside. They asked the judge to give her the maximum amount of jail time for what she had allegedly done to her dogs. They believe that animal abuse will never end if the court does not implement serious punishment for abusers. They stood outside holding signs, with one that said, “Animal crimes need to do time.”

Please sign this petition to support the demonstrators and demand that this woman get the maximum sentence for the crimes she has committed involving her two neglected dogs if she is found guilty.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Judge John M. Marnocha,

A terrible incident was discovered in South Bend that appeared to show a woman abandoning her two dogs in an alleyway. Thanks to her diligent neighbors, they saw what she was doing on their surveillance tape and alerted the authorities right away.

There is no way to fix what has already been done, but there is a way to deter other animal abusers from committing the same crimes and that is by sentencing them with harsher punishments. The demonstrators are correct; animal abusers will never end their cycle of abuse if the court does not implement serious punishments.

It is unsettling to know that this woman was able to leave her two dogs for dead in an alley with no remorse. Please give her the maximum sentencing for an animal abuser if she’s found guilty.

Sincerely,

What a vile creature she is.

  2. Manel Dias says:

Animal abuse is a felony and charge this woman against it. Punish her for the crimes she did and charge accordingly to fit that crime. The laws be adhered to and implemented. No any animal abuser should go unpunished. These animals have no voice. They have no power over this type of evil people. Animals can’t ask help. They can’t ask protection. So the Humanity should be their only help. Please do the needful.
