Praise Protection of Children from Sex Traffickers

A family beside a damaged house near Naglebhare, Nepal.

Target: Sushil Koirala, Prime Minister of Nepal

Goal: Support a law that protects children from sex trafficking and child labor cartels.

A new law now protects children under the age of 16 from the clutches of child labor rings and sex trafficking cartels. The law bans children from traveling without a parent or approved guardian. Hopefully, this will deter the monsters that kidnap these precious children for these devastating deeds. Thank the Prime Minister of Nepal for protecting innocent children.

After the horrific and devastating earthquakes in Nepal, child sex traffickers have taken advantage of the vulnerable families suffering from the disaster. Sex traffickers lie to parents and tell them that their children will have a better life with them. Some cartel members will even kidnap abandoned and orphaned children. These trafficking rings are simply taking advantage of the chaos that lays in the wake of the earthquakes that have killed thousands of people.

Girls and young women in Nepal and other regions in the Himalayas have long been targets for sex trafficking rings. In 2014 alone, nearly 13,000 Nepalese women and children were victims of sex trafficking. The government in Nepal is very weak and some politicians are even corrupt. It has been hard for the Nepalese government to control this disgusting trade.

Luckily, the Nepalese government has finally stepped up and enacted a law to lower these alarming statistics. Children cannot travel outside their home or district without a parent or guardian. The guardian must be approved by the district’s Child Welfare Board. Any stranger found travelling with a child will be subject to arrest. International adoption is also prohibited for the next three months.

Children should not have to suffer for the malicious and selfish actions of such crooked adults. By signing this petition, you are thanking the Prime Minister of Nepal for enacting this special and necessary law.

Dear Prime Minister Koirala,

The law that seeks to protect children from sex trafficking should be praised. The youth are our future and such innocent beings should not be exposed to the greedy and perverted ways of the immoral adults that run these sex trafficking rings.

By banning children from traveling without an adult, you are protecting thousands of kids. Sex traffickers have been taking advantage of the chaos put in place by the destructive earthquakes. I hope you continue to fight against these horrific sex trafficking rings. I fully support your law that will hopefully save and protect Nepal’s innocent children.
