Rabbit Killed on Air by Radio Host Deserves Justice

Target: Radio24syv

Goal: Fire Asger Juhl to show you don’t tolerate animal cruelty.

A radio host in Denmark killed a baby rabbit live on the air recently. The horrific stunt was done as a way to demonstrate how the people of Denmark have different standards for animals rights when it comes to animals raised on factory farms and those that are considered pets.

The small grey bunny, Allan, was killed by Asger Juhl who hit the rabbit three times on the head and then wrung his neck. He then cooked Allan and ate him with a glass of wine.

While the radio station was trying to make a point, killing an animal is not the way to do it. Demand the Asger Juhl be removed from his position at the radio station.

Dear Radio24syv,

One of your hosts, Asger Juhl, recently tried to make a point about the discrepancy between how animals are cared for on factory farms versus how pets are cared for.

In order to make that point, Mr. Juhl bashed a baby rabbit on the head and wrung its neck, killing it and cooking it.

Mr. Juhl’s actions are disgraceful and Radio24syv should be ashamed to have him as an employee. Inflicting pain and suffering on one innocent animal does nothing to end the pain and suffering of others.

We the undersigned strongly urge you to remove Asger Juhl from his position on Radio24syv to show that the station does not condone the mistreatment of animals.

  1. How come a year on this petition is still going, surely you’ve enough numbers now to hand it in?

No wonder people are wary signing petitions when the same one’s keep popping up after more than a year.

    • Danny, I understand why you question this petition still being open. We have had signatures weekly as new people learn for the first time what this radio station has done.
Because the authorities in Denmark have refused to prosecute, thus not upholding their own laws, a group working for justice has moved on to the EU looking for justice. Adding the number of signatures from the 8 petitions that were written about Allan, we are hoping it will help get justice from the EU.
