Target: Umm Al Quwain police in the United Arab Emirates
Goal: Applaud police for preventing deaths of stray animals.
The Umm Al Quwain police in Umm Al Quwain municipality in the United Arab Emirates are working with animal welfare groups to devise a plan to prevent animals deaths.
Reports say that the police are going to be fitting stray animals with glow-in-the-dark vests so that motorists can see them at night. A meeting was recently held where the plan was put into place. Police say that animal welfare workers will gather the stray animals, give them food and water, and equip them with their new glow-in-the-dark getup before releasing them.
Applaud Umm Al Quwain police for developing this great plan.
Dear Umm Al Quwain police,
Your recent announcement of the plan to fit stray animals in Umm Al Quwain municipality with glow-in-the-dark vests is very commendable. All too often stray animals are overlooked and not given the care and consideration they need.
By preventing them from being killed by motorists at night you are showing that you care for the most vulnerable creatures in your society. We the undersigned would like to thank you for developing this plan.
