Target: Eat, Drink, Meridian Local Coordinator Jeremy Campbell
Goal: Thank event coordinators for hosting a fun fundraiser to help save the lives of animals.
An organization called “Eat, Drink, Meridian” has held fundraisers every year to benefit animal shelters in Meridian, Mississippi. For 2015, they chose to host an event called “Cause for Paws” to benefit various Mississippi animal rescues such as the Almost Home Animal Rescue and Lauderdale County Animal Control. People around Meridian were simultaneously helping rescue local animals and enjoying the fun-filled event.
Directors from the animal rescue organizations shared that they will use the money to spay and neuter the animals in their facilities. The money raised will also help with the day-to-day care and medical expenses that come with taking care of new incoming animals. Sadly, some animals are deemed as “unadoptable” because of their type of breed or because they are sick. The Almost Home Animal Rescue in Mississippi takes in all animals no matter what, so the money is especially helpful to them.
The annual event showcases some of Mississippi’s finest cuisines and provides fun live entertainment for the guests. Local restaurants give out samples of their food for the event. Each person pays a small fee to attend and all of the money goes to benefit local animal rescues and the Lauderdale County Animal Control.
Please sign this petition to thank “Eat, Drink, Meridian” directors and coordinators for hosting such a great event every year that helps save animals.
Dear Jeremy Campbell,
“Eat, Drink, Meridian” has been hosting annual events to help raise money for animal rescues around Mississippi. This event is great because it promotes community involvement and helps save the lives of animals. Not only do your events sound fun, everybody from Mississippi is getting together for a very worthy cause.
So many animal rescues have benefited from the money you have raised through your fundraisers. Animal rescue groups are always in need of help from the community. Spaying and neutering animals is so important, but rescue facilities don’t always have enough money to perform the surgeries for the animals in their care. This is an amazing way to raise money for animals that truly need the community’s help. Please continue the great work that you are all doing. Hundreds of animals are benefiting from your compassionate efforts.
