Target: Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey
Demand: Charge police officer accused of shooting homeless man with murder.
An unarmed homeless man in Los Angeles was shot and killed by a police officer recently. Two LAPD officers responded to a call that claimed a man was harassing people on Venice Beach. They spoke with the man then got back in the cruiser. The officers saw the man get into a physical altercation with someone so they stepped out and tried to arrest the suspect. The suspect resisted arrest and an altercation between he and an officer broke out. It was during that altercation that an officer shot the suspect who later died.
The suspect, Brendon Glenn, was unarmed. Therefore, he had no way of defending himself again the gun of an officer. He was murdered in cold blood and there must be justice.
Dear Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey,
An unarmed man was shot by an LAPD officer and died from his injuries. The victim, a 29-year-old homeless man named Brendon Glenn, had no way of defending himself against the officer’s firearm; therefore, his death was unjustified and should be considered murder.
We the undersigned implore you to press charges against the officer who shot and killed him so that justice may be served.
