Don’t Give Up on Case of Woman Drowned in Water Tank

Target: Los Angeles District Attorney Jackie Lacey

Goal: Reexamine case of a woman who was found drowned in a hotel water tank.

A student named Elisa Lam was found dead in a hotel water tank, which has prompted much speculation from the media and communities of internet users. After Elisa’s disappearance in early 2013, residents of a Los Angeles hotel began to report that the water had an odd color, smell, and taste. When the water tank was opened, they found the body of Elisa Lam. Guests of the hotel had unknowingly been drinking and bathing in the water that contained her decaying body.

The horror doesn’t end there. Despite the fact that authorities ruled her death accidental, there were several mysterious circumstances surrounding her case. Elisa had been staying in the hotel when she disappeared, and naturally, security footage was reviewed. In a video that has been widely circulated on the internet, Elisa can be seen entering an elevator and pressing several buttons. When the door fails to close, she appears agitated, and quickly glances out into the hallway. She then backs into the corner, as though hiding from an unseen pursuer. She steps out into the hallway and begins gesticulating in an unsettling fashion, before disappearing around the corner. Many speculated that she was under the influence of drugs, but the toxicology report revealed nothing of interest.

Perhaps even stranger, a Sergeant from the LAPD reported that guests could not access the roof where the water tanks were located, because the door was both locked and equipped with an alarm. Furthermore, it would have been extremely difficult for Elisa to have climbed inside the water tank and closed the lid overhead.

Since much of the evidence hints at foul play, authorities should reexamine this case. Los Angeles authorities owe it to the family of Elisa Lam to uncover the truth behind what really happened.

Dear Mrs. Lacey,

I am writing to express my hope that your office will continue to investigate the case of Elisa Lam, who died in Los Angeles under mysterious circumstances in 2013. Her body was discovered in the water tank of her hotel after guests reported that the water had a strange taste. Although Los Angeles authorities determined that her death was accidental, I’m concerned that foul play might have been involved. This concern is based on a few unsettling details about the case.

A security video that has been widely circulated on the internet shows Elisa acting oddly, huddling into the corner of an elevator and glancing out anxiously as though looking for some unknown assailant. Furthermore, the door to the roof where the water tanks were located was reported to have been locked and set on an alarm. Even if Elisa had somehow managed to get through this door undetected, it still would have been difficult for her to have climbed into the water tank and closed the lid overhead. I’m not making any accusations of foul play, but I feel that it would be wise to investigate this case in more detail.

  1. I would also add: How come investigators didnt question WHY 53 seconds of the elevator video had been cut before it was handed over to police? Also, I’m sure before Elisa was found, there wasn’t a lot of traffic on the roof. Was the ladder, door handles, fire escape, etc. dusted, on the slim chance,of Elisa’s prints? What happened to her laptop? Finally, why did a seemingly simple, cut & dry autopsy take four months?
There is something HORRIBLY WRONG here. It’s not supernatural or the Illuminati, but I doubt it was “accidental”.
