Save Pets From Serial Dog Poisoner

Target: Jeff Long, Chief, Lakeville Police Department
Goal: Capture serial pet killer who is leaving poison and shrapnel-laden food outside for animals to find and eat.

Hot dogs laced with poison and shrapnel are being found littered in the streets of a Lakeville, Minnesota neighborhood, and are being consumed by pets. According to police, the meat contains pills, safety pins, screws, and steel wool, and is being found in backyards, parks, or on busy roads. Investigators say that the person responsible is actively trying to hurt or kill neighborhood pets. Residents in the neighborhood report being fearful of even allowing their dogs to be unsupervised in their own backyards.

So far, at least two dogs are dead and several more have been seriously injured after consuming the food. One dog, Yogi, had to undergo emergency surgery to remove three safety pins from his throat, and another was hospitalized after swallowing 11 screws. Recently, another dog died mysteriously while out on a walk, and while no shrapnel was found, veterinarians suspect that the dog could have consumed a homemade pill made from rat poison or antifreeze.

So far, police have not made any arrests in connection with the crime, though they are treating it as a criminal investigation. Officials have offered a $500 reward for anyone with information leading to the arrest of the person responsible. According to officers, the culprit will face several animal cruelty charges.

This kind of crime is particularly shocking because it displays intentional malice toward all of the neighborhood’s dogs. So far, the person responsible has killed two dogs and injured several more, resulting in several thousand dollars in veterinary bills and immeasurable pain to the pets and their family members. Sign the petition below to ask the police to use all their powers to capture this sick individual.

Dear Chief Jeff Long,

Dogs in Lakeville are being poisoned by pieces of hot dog containing pills, screws, needles, pins, and other items. This food is being left in backyards, parks, and busy walkways in a deliberate effort to hurt and kill neighborhood dogs. So far, at least two dogs have been killed and many more injured after eating this food.

The person responsible for this has displayed clear malicious intentions, and must be apprehended immediately. Furthermore, they should face as many charges as possible, at least one per dog he has killed or injured. We, the undersigned, urge you to capture and charge this cruel individual.
