Thank NFL Team for Firing Player Who Committed Animal Abuse

Target: Baltimore Ravens Coach, John Harbaugh

Goal: Thank Baltimore Ravens for letting go of player indicted for animal abuse.

The National Football League’s (NFL) Baltimore Ravens recently released player Terrence Cody before he was officially indicted in Maryland on animal cruelty charges. Cody has been in the NFL for five years. According to ESPN News, Cody faces 15 charges that include: five counts of animal abuse, two counts of aggravated animal cruelty, and one count on illegal possession of an alligator in Maryland. Cody’s wife is also facing the same criminal charges in Baltimore County court.

An investigation into the abuse after Cody took his dog, a bullmastiff, to the veterinarian, where he ultimately died. Cody was arrested after being indicted for torturing and causing the death of his dog. A copy of the indictment stated that Cody inflicted unnecessary suffering on an animal and intentionally killed and tortured it. He also did not provide adequate shelter, food, and water for his pet. Lastly, Cody was indicted for illegally importing a live alligator into Maryland, which is a misdemeanor. After he was indicted, the Ravens let him go from their team. Coach John Harbaugh told the public that he has a low level of tolerance for cases like this. Along with the animal abuse, he is also being charged with possession of drugs. Cody might be given 3 years in prison.

Please sign this petition to thank the Baltimore Ravens for releasing Terrence Cody due to his cruelty toward animals in his care.

Dear Coach John Harbaugh,

Baltimore Ravens player Terrence Cody has been under investigation for the crimes he has committed against his dog and illegal alligator. Cody committed a serious crime by not providing his pet with adequate shelter, food, or water resulting in its death. On top of that, he had illegal possession of an alligator and was also in possession of drugs.

These crimes are punishable by law and would affect the team; therefore, it was the right decision to let him go. Hurting an innocent animal shows a lack of decency and common knowledge. Your statement was correct; you cannot tolerate behavior like this.

Terrence Cody was on a national football league, and what he has done sends the wrong message to kids who look up to him. Thank you for doing your part and releasing Terrence Cody from your team.

I am so glad that SOME people have the gumption and guts to stand up to these “wanna-be-gods” who think that their “greatness….actual or presumed….makes them immune to the laws of nature and man authored laws!! Let’s get rid of ALL the “Vick” imitators out there!!!

  2. Thank you Coach Harbaugh and NFL Ravens for taking disciplinary action against this subhuman animal abuser. This is unacceptable, intolerable and inexcusable behavior for anyone and if more people dealt with it, perhaps our animals could live in peace. People like Terrence Cody should never be able to have another animal in their posession for the rest of their sorry, miserable lives. They don’t love them, it’s is a control issue and they know that a poor, helpless, voiceless animal has no defense against them. What a nasty piece of work!!!

  3. Why is it so many rotten scumbags are in the NFL? Something’s VERY wrong in the “state of Denmark.” Just another in an endless line of scumbags creating a Hell On Earth, along with his stinking wife. I hope they BOTH get 3 years, AND a lifelong ban on ever keeping any animal again, AND against being involved with any animals in any way, shape, or form. They really deserve much worse than that, for having taken a life obviously more precious than their own!

  4. Thank You Coach Harbaugh! Well done. Continue…

  5. Thank you Coach,, and is there a cell for his girlfriend also!!

  6. Rebecca McKeever says:

Thank you for setting the example.

  7. Unfortunately, Michael Vick did not pay nearly enough for what he did to lots of dogs. He should never have been able to play football again.

  8. Stacy Lavender says:

Good job coach John! Thank you!

  9. Michelle Miller says:

thank you for standing up for animals!

  10. Ravens are my team in the NFL. Now I have another reason to support them and their coach! Thank you for seeing this through Coach!
