Praise Dog Fighter and Abuser’s Arrest

Target: Akron, Ohio Police Chief, James Nice

Goal: Support the arrest of man who held dog-fighting rings and severely neglected his own dogs

A man from Akron, Ohio was arrested in November 2014 during a raid in one of the largest dog fighting rings in Ohio. He was caught along with close to 50 other people involved. He is now being arrested and is facing charges of animal cruelty after a shocking discovery was made at his home.

Robbie Hollis was detained on Christmas Eve after authorities searched his home and found six dogs that appeared to be malnourished. The dogs were clearly not given any food or water for some time. Some of the canines looked to be starved and needed emergency care. The Humane Society of Akron is now caring for the five pit bulls and a German shepherd. In court, Hollis pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of dog fighting, but he is also being charged with a misdemeanor for the treatment of his own dogs.

News outlets got ahold of Hollis to ask about the treatment of his pet dogs and his arrest on six counts of animal cruelty, but he would not provide any more information about the charges. Animal welfare activists spoke out about this case and stated that they believe that the animal safety laws in Ohio need to be changed. They believe that any accounts of animal cruelty should be charged on a first offense, not treated so lightly.

Please sign this petition to support the arrest of Robbie Hollis for mistreating his dogs and holding illegal dog fighting rings.

Dear Chief James Nice,

Robbie Hollis and 50 other people caused a huge uproar in Akron, Ohio in 2014. Together they held one of the biggest dog fighting rings in the Ohio area. On top of this charge, Robbie Hollis appeared to be neglecting his six pets at home. Thankfully, the Humane Society of Akron was able to nurse them back to good health and now they are ready to be put up for adoption to new families.

Robbie Hollis needs to go to prison for the pain that he has caused these dogs. He held and participated in illegal dogfights and neglected to care for his own dogs. No animal should be treated in this manner. I support his arrest on charges of animal cruelty.

Thank you and the Humane Society of Akron for catching these animal abusers and charging them with animal cruelty.

  1. This cannot be tolerated. These monsters should just be made to fight each other to the death.

  2. This man/men needs to be completely controlled and seize the evil practice of abuse of innocent animals. To gain the money & profit in the expense of animals, are the lowest ways of earning money by a human. This greedy man who made so many innocent dogs to undergo the misery & the pains has to be given back the same to him now. Treat this psycho the same way and throw him behind bars and the rest will work accordingly. What a scumbag. Protecting vulnerable animals are also part of the Governing bodies responsibility. Please punish such evil criminals to fit the true crimes. No punishment is good enough for such evil individual.
