Target: Rick Wiles, radio host and founder of Trunews
Goal: End push to eradicate Islam worldwide
A fringe radio host named Rick Wiles recently advocated the cleansing of Islam from the world, following the tragic attacks in Peshawar, Pakistan that left 132 children and nine educators dead. He proposed that nuclear strikes be carried out against Islam’s holy sites of Mecca and Medina. Demand that Wiles end his push to commit mass genocide.
David Wiles, founder of and host for the conservative radio station Trunews, was discussing the recent terror attacks carried out in Peshawar, Pakistan by the Pakistani Taliban when he arrived at the topic of how to end such attacks. Wiles, like so many other anti-Muslim advocates, came to the conclusion that eliminating Islam from the world was the only solution. Wiles said that Islam is “like a virus, like a cancer throughout the whole world,” asking “How many innocent people must die until the world vomits out Islam?… Islam must be eliminated from the face of the earth, it must be stomped out like cockroaches, it is a religion from Hell, everywhere Muslims go there is bloodshed and violence.” Wiles went on, ironically, to say that “At some point the world will have to obliterate, with nuclear weapons, Mecca and Medina. It’s coming to that point…”
Besides displaying a profound misunderstanding of Islam and terrorism, Wiles is advocating for the genocide of 1.6 billion people, a total of 23 percent of the world’s population. It’s disgusting attitudes like these that spread fear and violence against Muslims here in America and abroad. Sign the petition below to demand that Wiles end his push to commit the largest genocide in human history.
Dear Mr. Wiles,
I am writing you about a discussion you recently had on your radio program about the tragic attack in Peshawar by the Pakistani Taliban that left 141 dead. Your advocating the genocide of the world’s Muslims and the destruction of their holy sites with nuclear weapons is atrocious.
If what you suggest was actually carried out, it would be by epic magnitudes the largest genocide in human history. Twenty-three percent of the world’s population would be killed. That means the blood of almost a quarter of the human race would be, at least partially, on your hands–doubtless the Pakistani Taliban, the enemy you so passionately want to root out, would be envious of that. Beyond this, however, saying that such measures are at all appropriate contributes to a culture of fear against Muslims here in the United States and abroad, a culture that has led to unprecedented spikes in anti-Muslim hate crimes and harassment since September 11, 2001. Your statements contribute directly to violence.
That your plan is predicated on a profound misunderstanding of Islam and terrorism goes without saying, but the callousness and inhumanness of it is what is truly abominable. I demand that you end your advocacy for genocide and nuclear destruction at once.
