Target: Matthew Bershadker, President of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
Goal: Praise the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals for rescuing nearly 77 animals from a deplorable kennel
Authorities have recently discovered several appalling counts of animal cruelty in an Amherst, New York animal kennel. After entering the facilities, officials say that they found the animals in deplorable conditions. Many of the animals living in the Dodge Boarding Kennel had matted fur and were severely malnourished. Authorities were also shocked to find more than 70 dead animals frozen in freezers.
The owners of the Dodge Boarding Kennel and the individual responsible for managing the facility were both charged with several counts of animal cruelty. While the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) was unable to save the 72 dead animals that were found in kennel’s freezers, it was able to rescue 77 other animals from suffering a similar horrific fate.
Sign the petition below to thank the SPCA for its vigilant efforts to uncover the terrible cruelty committed against the innocent animals that were being housed at the Dodge Boarding Kennel.
Dear Matthew Bershadker,
I would like to thank you and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals for the efforts made to uncover the atrocities within the Dodge Boarding Kennel. I was extremely appalled when I found out how the Dodge Boarding Kennel treated its animals. Many of the animals that were living in the kennel were severely malnourished and their fur was horribly matted. I was also shocked to learn that authorities had found the frozen dead bodies of 72 animals in the freezers of the kennel.
If SPCA had not rescued those 77 animals when it did, I fear that they would have suffered the same fate as the animals found in the freezer. The conditions these animals were forced to live in were deplorable, and I am glad that the people responsible are being adequately punished for their actions.
Without the vigilant efforts of the SPCA, the animals living at the Dodge Boarding Kennel in Amherst, New York, would still be suffering from the deplorable conditions of the kennel. I am sure that the animals rescued are extremely grateful for all of the work you have accomplished.
