Demand Justice for Dogs Left to Die from Heat

Dog with Anxious Eyes

Target: Attorney Bill Montgomery

Goal: Punish caretakers and kennel owners responsible for the deaths of 21 dogs in Arizona

A case involving the owners of a dog kennel, its caretakers, and 21 dead dogs has finally resulted with the abusers being charged with animal cruelty. The dogs who were housed in the suburban Phoenix kennel died from overheating and suffocation. One of the animal caretakers is the son of United States Senator Jeff Flake, which has contributed to the media frenzy surrounding this unfortunate case of animal cruelty. Tell Attorney Bill Montgomery to prosecute these individuals for allegedly neglecting their duties and allowing these dogs to die.

Caretakers Austin and Logan Flake face 21 felony and seven misdemeanor charges of animal cruelty. The case has come under criticism since it has taken so long to indict the abusers of these charges, however, Montgomery is confident that this case is underway and wants to see justice served.

Authorities said that the owners of the dog kennel were away in Florida and tasked the remaining two caretakers, Austin and Logan Flake, with looking after the dogs. Austin and Logan neglected to care for the animals, and when they eventually returned to the facility, the Flakes found a power outage in the room where the dogs were kept. Without electricity to power the air conditioner, the dogs were left to die from heat exhaustion. To cover their tracks, the Flakes reportedly told some of the dogs’ owners that their beloved pets had run away.

The dogs’ owners sued the owner of the kennel and the caretakers immediately, citing them with abuse and neglect. The dogs died in June, and with Arizona’s infamous heat, the caretakers should have known that the dogs wouldn’t have survived in extreme temperatures. If the caretakers knew that there was a power outage, the dogs should have been removed from the premises and taken to somewhere cooler.

These dogs and their owners deserve swift justice. This case has taken far too long to be dealt with and Attorney Montgomery can bring closure to the victims. Demand for the immediate punishment of the caretakers and the dog kennel owner for the death of these dogs.

Dear Attorney Bill Montgomery,

The families who lost their dogs due to the alleged neglect of two kennel caretakers are keen to see justice served. It disgusts me that these caretakers knew that the power was out, but did nothing to ensure that these dogs were taken to a comfortable environment. Instead, these innocent animals suffered from heat exhaustion and died.

I ask that you make this trial as swift as possible so these families can get closure. This case has garnered a lot of attention, but I ask that you remain calm and determined. The dogs can’t be saved, but at least those responsible for their deaths will be punished.

This entire situation sickens me. Care giving? They certainly do not deserve this title. They are instead a couple of ignorant, selfish, stupid individuals. They will hopefully be prosecuted to the very fullest of the law.
