Prosecute Bear Cub’s Murderer

Bear cub

Target: Police Commissioner of New York Police Department, William J. Bratton

Goal: Find and prosecute murderer of bear cub

While walking in Central Park, a dog walker saw a shocking sight: A bear cub was lying dead under a bush, inflicted with slashing and stabbing wounds. Found in an crowded area of the park, the bear was taken away by authorities to be examined. The New York Police Department is currently investigating what happened to this bear cub, and how it got there. This bear was obviously hurt by humans, and those who took the life of this cub should be punished by the full extent of the law.

Once police arrived on the scene, bystanders quickly amassed at the site. Those who were informed of the cub’s death were horrified and angered that another human being could hurt a bear cub and toss its body in Central Park. Police believe that the bear cub was not native to New York, but was rather dumped there due to the body being so close to the highway. The bear cub was taken away by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation where it will uncover the cause of death.

Dumping an animal carcass in Central Park is a health code violation, and if caught, the murderer will face harsh penalties. It is also very likely that the murderer will face animal cruelty charges for killing an animal in this horrific manner. It is unclear how much evidence the police have regarding this incident, but the authorities should not let this murder go unsolved. Many bears in the United States are endangered thanks to humans, and as a result, it is now our job to ensure that they can prosper. Tell the Police Commissioner of the New York Police Department to investigate this matter thoroughly and prosecute the murderer of this innocent animal.

Dear Police Commissioner William J. Bratton,

Recently, a dog walker found the body of a three-foot-long bear cub in the heart of Central Park. According to your police officers, it is believed that the body was dumped there from the highway. Bears are fighting for survival in the United States, where humans continue to encroach upon their habitat. Hearing of this cub’s death both saddens and angers me, as this cub was taken from its home, killed, and then left in the park for all to see.

I am writing this letter to ask that you do everything in your power to resolve this case. It is unfortunate that the mother of this cub lost her child, but the New York Police Department can at least make sure a murder such as this one does not happen again.

  1. Emily March says:

Teenagers playing at being ‘heroes’? The cub must have been a lot tamer than the killers! Another case in support of hidden cameras even in parks. Poor little bear!

  2. Bear cubs are not dangerous to people as a rule. Really wonder who this sicko I’d. My money is on a mentally sick adolescent

  3. to do nothing would be just as evil as the act done by the perpetrators. Please find justice for this poor little animal.

  4. Kill-maim-murder-bully-destroy. For no good reason. The new America. Remember you let this happen.

  5. Not sure exactly why some of the posters are assuming that the culprit or culprits are “kids” as there are sick individuals within our society of all ages. Whomever is responsible for this hideous act of cruelty MUST be found and punished. Please don’t let this baby bear’s death be in vain. As a civilized society we can not allow people who torture, abuse and murder helpless animals to just walk among us. All of us have a responsibility to protect the vulnerable, whether it’s children or animals !!!!!
