Target: Model and activist, Hannah Mermaid
Goal: Applaud model’s intense dedication to ocean and marine mammal welfare
Mermaids have been a mythical staple for tales of oceans’ past; beautiful women with fish-like tails have helped and hindered lost and lonely sailors for centuries. Most people do not believe in the existence of mermaids. However, one passionate woman is changing the hearts of mermaid-doubters everywhere. Hannah Mermaid is an underwater model and ocean activist who swims with the oceans’ largest beasts in order to raise awareness for the ocean and its vital role in the health of the world.
Hannah has been fascinated by mermaids and the ocean since she was a kid. At nine years old, she made her first mermaid tail and hasn’t stopped since. She has astounding underwater photographs of her swimming with humpback whales, great white and whale sharks, manta rays and bottlenose dolphins. The fearless activist has mastered the art of safe, deep underwater diving and is capable of holding her breath for two minutes before needing to resurface or receive oxygen from an underwater supply. Hannah considers herself an ocean environmentalist, and hopes that people are inspired to save the oceans by her photographs and media work with marine mammals. Hannah hopes to connect humans to life’s birthplace so they will feel connected and responsible for the oceans’ success.
A life of deep-ocean diving is not necessarily safe, but Hannah comes into the ocean with a calm demeanor and immense respect for all of the creatures she encounters, which indeed translates to even the most dangerous beasts. However, she still risks her life with every dive, all in the name of love and conservation. By signing the petition below, you will be thanking Hannah for her dedication to the preservation of the ocean and its inhabitants.
Dear Hannah Mermaid,
I am writing to thank you for your immense dedication to the ocean and all of its creatures. With every deep-water dive, you risk your life and health in order to connect humans to the life in the oceans. Your abilities and perseverance are astounding. It is my hope that many more people become connected to your work and mission through your amazing photographs and media presence.
It is because of you that whale sharks, great white sharks, humpback whales, sting rays, and numerous other marine species are better understood and respected. Thank you for your environmental activism and please continue your inspiring works.
