Target: President of the International Criminal Court, Song Sang-Hyun
Goal: Charge terrorist group ISIS with crimes against humanity
With the recent beheading of two American journalists along with the thousands of other civilians killed in one year, the terrorist group Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) has been wreaking havoc in Syria and Iraq. It is time the International Criminal Court stepped in and charged this group with crimes against humanity so innocent lives will be spared.
The two American journalists killed by ISIS were Steven Sotloff and James Foley. Their beheading was released through a video, and the United States has validated the footage and are on the hunt for the killer. The terrorist group has also targeted ethnic and religious minorities, killing off hundreds of Yezidi villagers, over 100 Syrian soldiers, journalists, and children. Some of these murders have even been conducted in public. The taking of these innocent lives is a war crime, and wiping out ethnic minorities is genocide.
Those who show ISIS any opposition will be immediately taken out. Journalists in particular have been targeted not just by ISIS, but by oppressive governments and dictators seeking to cover up corruption. The killing of these two American journalists has caught the attention of the American public, and as more innocent lives are taken away, it is crucial that we fight against this tyranny. While we cannot stop all of the killings, we can certainly pressure international bodies and other organizations to fight against ISIS. Urge the International Criminal Court to press charges against this terrorist organization so innocent lives will be saved.
Dear President Song Sang-Hyun,
As you know, the terrorist group ISIS has caused a disturbing amount of violence and death in Iraq and Syria. This group has killed, abducted, tormented, and tortured many innocent people. The group is also responsible for genocide, as it has specifically targeted ethnic minorities and religious groups. ISIS shows no remorse for its actions and does not intend to stop.
I implore you to charge this terrorist group for crimes against humanity. ISIS is killing innocent people and committing genocide to promote its own agenda. This violent organization has no regard for human life, and is instead resorting to violence and murder to force people into submission. Stop the killing and help some semblance of peace and safety return to the region.
