Thank Actress for Calling for an End to Cosmetic Animal Testing

Target: American Actress, Alicia Silverstone

Goal: Thank Alicia Silverstone for taking a stand against the practice of animal testing for cosmetics

Actress Alicia Silverstone has been voicing her opinions through an ongoing campaign to demand that government officials introduce a ban on animal testing for cosmetics. Silverstone has been working closely with the CEO of Cruelty Free International (CFI) and the organization believes that her involvement will greatly contribute to the organization’s efforts.

ABC News reported that the actress has joined forces with the Cruelty Free International organization to support the Humane Cosmetics Act, which attempts to take out the experiment process and the sale of beauty products that have been tested on animals. This is being done in an effort to encourage politicians to approve the legislation and promote it all around the United States. California has already passed a ban on animal testing for cosmetics, so now Silverstone and the CFI are campaigning in hopes that the remaining states will follow suit.

The topic of cosmetic animal testing is one that has spanned many years. According to the Humane Society of the United States, too many big brand cosmetic companies test on animals such as mice, rabbits, and guinea pigs. PETA has offered better ways to test products without the use of animals, such as computer modeling, human simulator devices, and using human volunteers. Thankfully, there have been an increasing number of companies that are turning to more humane alternatives, so it is easier for consumers to find cruelty-free cosmetic products in the market.

Please sign this petition to thank Alicia Silverstone for joining forces with the CFI to end animal testing in laboratories.

Dear Alicia Silverstone,

Thousands of animals every year are tortured and killed due to cruel animal testing practices. There are too many companies using this method to ensure the quality of their products. Although technology has allowed for more humane practices, some still continue to do it.

Thank you for standing up for animals and helping organizations like Cruelty Free International put an end to animal testing on cosmetics. By stopping the sale of products, it will force the companies to practice better methods to test their products. Your work on the campaign to support the Humane Cosmetics Act will truly make a difference. I hope that more people will join the cause to save animals from harsh cosmetic tests.
