Target: Founder of PAWS of Rochester, Matt Piccone
Goal: Congratulate the Animal Welfare organization and thank them for all of their efforts
PAWS of Rochester has been sharing information and providing assistance to pet owners for nearly two years. Through their community outreach program, they are able to compassionately and respectfully help provide the resources and means needed to care for the animals. They help people who seem unfit to own pets learn how to take better care of their animals. PAWS realizes that it can be very easy to judge, but believes that every person should be able to have a meaningful relationship with a pet animal.
PAWS of Rochester is unlike most animal welfare organizations because it is not a shelter. One of the main focuses is to approach pet owners who lack the information or means to properly take care of their pets. By giving the gift of education and assistance, they are helping animals find homes with owners who are willing to learn how to better care for them while also helping the owners strengthen the bond between themselves and their pets. PAWS is also spreading their knowledge throughout the community and teaching the people who take in strays, the proper way to care for an animal. Since the alternative is leaving the animal at a shelter, PAWS’ mission to educate people may be the only thing saving these animals from going to the shelter to be put down.
The goal of the PAWS organization is to ultimately transform the Rochester community in New York and reduce the number of animals being brought into the local shelters. The condition of animal welfare in Rochester is in bad shape and due to the efforts of PAWS, things may be changing for the better. Sign this petition and congratulate the PAWS of Rochester for being nationally recognized for their great work — they definitely deserve it.
Dear PAWS of Rochester Founder, Matt Piccone,
It has come to my attention that your animal welfare organization has recently been recognized nationally for its efforts to educate and assist pet owners and people in general. Since PAWS of Rochester is not a shelter and it teaches people to properly care for their pets, the animals are getting a much better quality of life.
The work that you are doing to transform the animal welfare community in Rochester is amazing and I would like to thank you and everyone else at PAWS of Rochester for all your efforts. I hope you continue to endeavor and accomplish all of your goals.
