Target: The Parr family
Goal: Applaud family for successfully suing a fracking company that was lying and destroying their health
Recently, the Parr family in Texas won a major victory over the fracking industry. Aruba Petroleum Inc. drilled 22 wells near the family’s property, exposing them to hazardous chemicals, gases, and industrial waste. The Parr family, suffering from illness and knowing what Aruba was secretly up to, decided to sue the company. The jury ruled in favor of the family, awarding them $2.95 million to be paid by Aruba. Congratulate the family and their lawyers for successfully exposing the toxic secrets Aruba was hiding.
The Parr family filed their suit in 2011 after their proximity to the hazardous byproducts of fracking began significantly damaging their health. A handful of their many symptoms included chronic nosebleeds, irregular heartbeat, open sores, and muscle spasms. Mrs. Parr had 4 golfball-sized lumps on her next, and oozing welts on her scalp. Medical tests proved chemicals in her lungs and bloodstream were the cause of these conditions.
It came as no surprise that those chemicals matched exactly with the supposedly “safe” chemicals produced during Aruba’s fracking. Even further damning evidence: doctor records showed Mrs. Parr’s symptoms aligned directly with the timeline of documented gas releases from Aruba’s drilling.
Applaud the Parr family for standing up against Aruba Petroleum Inc.’s lies and making them pay for the true consequences of their fracking. Not only does fracking have disastrous effects on the earth, but it clearly can ruin human beings as well. No fracking company can state that it will not harm nearby residents. The truth is out and in the hands of the people.
Dear Parr Family,
I recently read about your successful lawsuit against Aruba Petroleum Inc. I wanted to praise your efforts and your determination to make Aruba accountable for their actions. Despite its many protests and “tests” proving the company was in safe limits, your family’s doctor visits clearly proved otherwise.
It takes courage to stand up to such a large company, and it takes intelligence to help build a case that actually wins. I hope your family will receive the necessary treatment to return to a healthy state, and I thank you for showing Aruba’s and fracking’s true colors to the world.
