Target: Everett Animal Shelter
Goal: Applaud animal shelter for its efforts in reuniting pets with their families after Washington mudslide
The mudslide that occurred in Snohomish County, Washington killed at least 30 people and destroyed as many as 30 homes. During the mudslide, many pets became separated from their human owners. As the animals wander the area, lost and confused, the Everett Animal Shelter has begun to accommodate more animals as people arrive with lost pets they found in the area.
The Everett Animal Shelter is providing an easier way for families to be reunited with their animals. By setting up lost and found books, people who have rescued the animals off the street can input the animal’s information and owners who have lost their pets may provide their pet’s information so their animals may be identified if rescued and brought to the shelter.
The Everett Animal Shelter also provides food, water, and medical treatments for the animals until they are reunited with their families. Throughout all the confusion and devastation of the mudslide, this animal shelter is doing all that it can to help these animals find their loving families again. Sign this petition to applaud their efforts.
Dear Everett Animal Shelter,
The mudslide that killed at least 30 people and destroyed 30 homes has devastated the lives of those living in the Snohomish County area. Some people have lost loved ones, and many others still remain missing. But people are not the only ones affected by the mudslide; many loving pets were separated from their human owners during the mudslide and wander the streets lost and confused.
I would like to thank you for rescuing those pets and housing them in your shelter. By having lost and found books, you are making it easier for the animals to be reunited with their families. You provided food, water, and medical treatment for these animals not because someone had asked you to, but because it was the right thing to do.
The mudslide has devastated many lives in the Snohomish County area, and I greatly appreciate all you are doing to help during this horrible time. I am sure that all of the animals you have taken in also appreciate all you are doing to help reunite them with their loving families.
