Punish Man Accused of Beating Kitten to Death

Target: St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer M. Joyce

Goal: Punish man for beating his own kitten to death

A man in St. Louis, Missouri, was recently charged with felony animal abuse after striking his own 5-month old kitten several times until it died from its injuries. This is a disgusting act of cruelty that should not be taken lightly by the justice system. We must tell St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer M. Joyce to prosecute this man to the full extent of the law.

According to authorities, Andres Wiltz, a 23-year-old man from St. Louis, brought the kitten to a veterinarian because it was pale, cold, and struggling to breath. An examination by the veterinarian determined that the kitten had suffered bruising to its chest and kidneys, a broken pelvis and ribs, and a large tear in its lungs. Wiltz told authorities that the kitten, who was named Vader, became unresponsive after he repeatedly struck the animal in order to discipline it. Wiltz agreed to surrender two other cats he owned to the Humane Society of Missouri.

People should use positive reinforcement to discipline their animals, rather than resorting to striking the animal. If negative reinforcement is necessary, the owner can use a spray bottle or harsh tone as a deterrent. Beating an animal to enforce discipline should never be necessary.

Unfortunately, acts of cruelty towards domestic animals like this are all too common in the United States. Fortunately, the accused has been arrested for the alleged crime and charged with felony animal abuse. However, it is important that the prosecutor in St. Louis take this crime seriously to ensure that this man does not abuse another animal in the same way, and to set an example for others who might senselessly abuse animals in the same manner.

Dear City Circuit Attorney Joyce:

I am writing to you regarding the case of Andres Wiltz, who is accused of beating his own kitten to death. Even though the accused brought the injured animal to a veterinarian, I find this to be a clear case of animal cruelty that merits that the accused be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Animal abusers such as this should be made aware that our society takes crimes like this seriously. People should be encouraged to use positive reinforcement to discipline their animals, rather than resorting to striking the animal. Please help to deter animal abusers like this from committing such horrific crimes by prosecuting the accused as he deserves.

Hope the guy never has children. It is so easy to raise a hand to a creature smaller than we are. No living creature really learns from being hit or beaten. For several years I volunteered to rescue/foster/nurse cats. Must have had 150 cats through the house over the years. One day I had finished cleaning. Mama cat was just getting over diarrhea and something startled her and she shat along the wall. She was contrite. I knelt down and was crying with the extra work. Mama came over and nudged me several times. Things were fine. I have had animals poo and pee and bite me. Like Steve Irwin would say ‘never strike them’.

    • Laurel, you are wonderful person. I’ve always loved animals. My mother told me how I snuck under barb wire fence to go pet neighbours bull when I was 5 yrs. old. Said she was terrified. He didn’t hurt me. That was the first time I made friends with risky critter but not the last. I’ve done similar things since & feel it was worth it. I hate the things some humans do to animals & always happy to see someone like you.

  2. Just think of the animals that are abused and not taken to a vet. That is scary. I use a spray bottle and it works. I can’t lie and say I do not get angry sometimes but I would never cause injury to one of my babies. That would be just like causing injury to a defenseless child. “Why does it have to be this way”? Abuse!!!

It happens because people cry for justice but when it comes down they turn their heads and walk away. That is why. People need to get behind their law makers and make them obey the laws that they have made. until that happens these poor animals will suffer terrible abuse and death.

It is the justice system incompetence sometimes, and if they don’t care ,they should be responsible if the person commits one more crime in the future!

It is completely disgusting; he is a TORTURER and CRIMINAL so he must pay in jail his crime.
This kind of people should not be arround, they are unconscious and horrible beings.
Animals are the most beautiful and incredible creatures; they should be honoured and respected.
That innocent and tiny kitten. The torturer should be beaten same way!!!

  6. “So many people insist they are against animal abuse, cruelty, suffering and the inhumane treatment of animals, yet they don’t understand they are actively engaging in and supporting egregious suffering, abuse, cruelty and inhumane treatment when they eat animals and their ‘by-products.’ If you are against cruelty, suffering and inhumane treatment, then you go vegan. It’s just that simple.” – Sarah Kiser

  7. No woman should ever date this creature and this creature should never own another animal. I hope that this incident ruins his life. He doesn’t ever deserve life.

  12. Lynne Thrower says:

Please please stop calling animals an ‘it’. It refers to an object and animals are NOT objects and if we talk about them as if they are the perception of them will never change. Give them an identity talk about them as he or she and hopefully eventually they will be recognised as something other than ‘just an animal’.

  13. Cut off his dick.
