Commend Strict Animal Testing Laws

animal testing 3

Target: Enrico Letta, Prime Minister of Italy

Goal: Encourage strict animal testing laws as a means to an end of animal testing in Italy

Italy has recently passed strict animal testing laws to advance animal rights. The country is already a leader in strict animal laws and insists on staying at the forefront of protective legislation for tested animals. This new law is a positive step in a long, intense war on banning animal testing altogether. Lend your support to Italy in its continued fight for animal rights.

Italy’s new law will make it difficult for many scientists and labs that use animals to test medical procedures. The new law bans breeding animals whose lives will only be spent in a lab; breeding testing animals for multiple generations will no longer be legal. Many scientists are worried about stricter animal testing laws, and how they will affect research. Up until this law was passed, testing organ transplants on animals for cancer research was legal; the new legislation bans this practice.

Animal testing is cruel and inhumane. Many species of animals are subjected to a life of pain while imprisoned as testing subjects. Humane alternatives must be developed and utilized to fully replace animal testing. Animals are not ours to mutilate for our advantage. Sign this petition to thank the Italian Parliament for this protective measure.

Dear Prime Minister Enrico Letta,

Each year thousands of animals are tortured to death in the name of science. The human race must move away from these barbaric times; animal testing will one day be a practice solely heard of in history books. Italy is in the forefront of the no-animal-testing revolution, and for this I thank you.

Parliament’s new law bans breeding animals to be used solely as test subjects and using animals for organ transplant study. This is a monumental movement in the right direction. Many scientists are worried about what this new law means for their research; please encourage the use of technology, not animals, for cancer and disease research. I urge you to discourage the use of animals for all research.

The lab animals of Italy are one step closer to liberation. Please keep up the trend in order to ban animal testing once and for all.
