A voice in favor of a Texas high speed rail system
An op-ed in the Fort Worth Business Press today argued in favor of a Texas high speed rail system. This proposed high speed system is being referred to as the T-Bone Corridor due to the shape it would form by linking the metropolitan areas of Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Houston.
The writer, who is the secretary of the Texas High Speed Rail and Transportation Corporation, notes, “This is by no means a case of ‘build it and they will come.’ Today’s crowded skies and roads provide ample evidence that ‘they’ are already here.”

The green-lighting of the high speed rail project by California voters has increased awareness of other proposed high speed rail systems around the country, the most prominent being the Midwest high speed rail proposal.
