Applaud Costa Rica for Improved Ban on Shark Finning
A new and improved presidential decree has been signed by the President of Costa Rica to ban shark finning and trade throughout the country. This ban on all shark finning is a great example for other countries to follow by generating marine protection on their own lands. Commend Costa Rica for this landmark decision to better protect shark species.
Ban the Sale of Dogs and Cats at Flea Markets in Mississippi
Puppies and kittens are still being sold without regulations at local flea markets in Mississippi. These animals come from mills, where dogs and cats are mistreated and bred solely for profit. Sign this petition and urge Mississippi to pass an animal bill that will ban the sale of puppies and kittens at flea markets.
Demand that Cayman Turtle Farm Stop Farming Endangered Turtles for Meat
A sea turtle farm that claims to aid in the preservation of the species has been found to keep their animals in horrible conditions before sending them to their deaths. These turtles endure cramped living conditions, disease, and mutilation on a daily basis. Neglecting and slaughtering endangered sea turtles does not ‘help’ them; demand that the Cayman Turtle Farm stop the daily torture these sea turtles face at their attraction.

A recent exhibit by controversial artist Damien Hirst killed 9,000 butterflies over the course of the exhibit’s duration. Even though the damage is already done, demand that Damien Hirst apologize for the mass killing of this beautiful creature in the name of art.
Stop the Slaughter of Oxen at Green Mountain College
Two old and healthy oxen are being sentenced to death and need our help to prevent this execution at all costs. Bill and Lou have worked for over a decade at a college farm and have been given a chance at Vine Sanctuary to live freely for the remainder of their lives. Stop the Illegal Trade of the Slow Loris in Indonesia
The endangered slow loris species is facing unthinkable cruelty at the hands of Indonesian pet traders. When slow lorises are taken from their habitat to be ‘groomed’ as domestic pets, they are stripped of their teeth with pliers or nail clippers. This practice often leads to infection and painful death for the slow lorises. This endangered species has suffered enough– we must stop the cruel trade of these animals in Indonesia.

Applaud Owner of Dairy Farm for Firing Workers Upon Animal Abuse Allegations
After discovering via video footage that several workers had been abusing the milk cows in one of his facilities, owner Luis Bettencourt took the steps to halt the activity and effect changes in Idaho’s largest dairy company that would prevent such abuses from occurring in the future. Thank this man for taking immediate action against animal cruelty and for firing the workers who conducted or permitted the abuse in the first place.
Ban Wild-Animal Circuses From the City of Boston
Elephants and other wild animals suffer needlessly when forced to perform in circuses. Subject to cruel treatment and abuse for the purpose of entertainment, these animals, including some on the endangered species list, lead lives of physical and emotional anguish. Please help the elephants and all other circus animals by banning wild-animal circuses in Boston.
Ban Chinese-Made Pet Treats That Are Killing Dogs And Cats
Over the past 18 months, Chinese-made jerky treats have been linked to 2,200 illnesses and caused the deaths of at least 360 dogs and one cat in the United States. The FDA has begun investigations into this matter, but has left the issue largely unaddressed by allowing these products to stay on the shelves. Demand that the FDA take immediate action to end the wave of sickness affecting pets across the country.
Enact Stronger Protection Laws for Captive Animals in Ontario
Many are protesting against the Canadian government for its poor regulation regarding aquatic zoos and marine centers. Very little marine education and care is required to obtain animals and run a zoo inside the country’s borders. Demand stronger protection laws for these captive animals.

Rather than the chickens being free-range, they are thrown into very small cages and never see the light of day. Lend your voice and demand that these cruel practices be stopped.
Ban Imprisonment of Orca Whales at SeaWorld
Orca Whales at SeaWorld are suffering from unsafe housing and need our help to ensure their safety. The latest victim at SeaWorld is Nakai, an 11 year old Orca Whale that has a major laceration the size of a dinner plate on his jaw caused by two other Orca Whales. We must demand that SeaWorld provide safe housing for their Orcas before another innocent animal is hurt or killed.

Recently, a tiger in an Indian zoo was brutally murdered by poachers who had easily evaded zoo security. Demand that the Indian government better protect these animals by improving zoo security measures.
Do Not Allow Unregulated Killing of Wolves in Wyoming
Wyoming’s current law allows anyone to open fire on wolves in 85% of the state, even without a hunting license. Up to 60% of the state’s wolf population could be decimated, setting back decades of progress and conservation efforts. Urge Wyoming Governor Mead not to open wolves to indiscriminate killing, and instead manage wolves as important wildlife, not unwanted pests.
Ask the Department of Fish and Wildlife to Stop Shooting Wolves
The Department of Fish and Wildlife, an organization dedicated to preserving the lives and maintaining the well being of animals, recently decided to kill off a pack of wolves responsible for killing local cattle in Washington state. Tell the department that wolves should not be dealt out the death sentence for behaving as wolves, and urge this organization to strive for relocation efforts in the future.
Help Save the Andean Bear from Extinction
Andean Bears, native to the northern and western regions of South America, are currently at risk of extinction due to logging, farming, and hunting. The Andean Bear Foundation based in Ecuador, which aims to preserve the species, needs more help protecting the bears. The Ecuadorian government must put more effort in keeping the bears alive before the species disappears forever.
Stop Dehorning Calves and Cows Without Anesthetic
Dairy farmers in the United States are currently not required to administer painkillers while removing the horns from their cattle. Cows suffer excruciating pain during dehorning as their sensitive horn tissue is either sawed off or burned away with caustic chemicals or hot irons. Demand that the U.S. Department of Agriculture make it a crime to dehorn cattle without first applying anesthetic.
Don’t Transport Wild Beluga Whales 6,000 Miles to Georgia Aquarium
The Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta is currently seeking a permit to transport 18 wild-caught beluga whales 6,000 miles across the Atlantic to add to their tanks. Not only would such a journey cause undue suffering to these intelligent and sensitive creatures, but mistreated beluga whales at Marineland of Canada are currently in need of a better home where they can receive proper care. Tell the Georgia Aquarium not to import whales from Russia and instead work with Marineland to rehome their belugas.
Ban Gas Chamber Euthanasia for Animals in Pennsylvania
Although euthanizing pets with carbon monoxide gas chambers is currently banned in 19 states, this cruel and costly practice remains legal in Pennsylvania. Pets are crammed into metal boxes and then rapidly suffocated with poison gas. Urge the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to outlaw gas chamber euthanasia.
Boycott Milk from Badger Culling Areas
The English government recently approved a policy that will allow marksmen to wipe out 70% of the badger populations on 300 farms in West Gloucestershire over the next four years in order to stop the spread of bovine tuberculosis. Culls will lead to many surviving badgers becoming disturbed and carrying TB to other locations, while safer and more effective alternatives for disease prevention exist. Show your disapproval for this unethical mass murder by boycotting dairy products produced in the cull zones and not participating in tourism of those locations.

High end fashion designer Oscar de la Renta and Grammy winning artist Dr. Dre recently collaborated to produce a high end, fashionable pair of headphones. Both companies agreed to the design that used real fox fur as casings for the headphones. Sign this petition to help stop the use of real fur in fashion pieces.
Demand North Carolina Bear Park Be Shut Down
Chief Saunooke’s Bear Park, a bear zoo located on the Cherokee Reservation in North Carolina, has been found in violation of animal welfare regulations. This park has been found to not only fail to provide a safe enclosure for the animals but also neglects to feed them adequate, nutritious food. Tell the USDA that this park, and parks like it, cannot be allowed to continue in their abuse.
Stop Recreationally Poisoning Dogs in Moscow
Dogs have been dying after eating mysterious foods scattered on the grounds of Moscow Park in Russia. Dog hunting, in which people murder dogs by feeding them poisoned food, is a growing popular hobby. Sign this petition to help put an end to this horrid crime.
Boycott Museum Arts for Recommending Killing of Two Healthy Mules for Display
The American Museum of Agriculture recently purchased two healthy mules in auction, then killed them and placed them on display in one of its exhibits. The museum alleges that it considered fiberglass replicas, but used real mules after a recommendation by Museum Arts, Inc. Demand that Museum Arts, Inc. change its practices by never recommending the killing of healthy animals, and that a boycott be placed on its services until an overhaul is initiated.
