Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud ordered the arrest of 23-year old Hamza Kashgari for comments he made on Twitter about the prophet Muhammad. Kashgari now sits in a detention facility facing a charge of apostasy, which is punishable by death. Take a stand for freedom of expression and save a life by urging the king to release Kashgari.

Don’t Let Congress Kill the U.S. Mail

The United States Postal Service is planning on closing 252 processing plants and 3,700 post offices. This will cause a loss of 100,000 jobs within the USPS and a serious diminishment of postal services. Tell Congress to oppose closing post offices, save postal worker jobs and keep the mail flowing smoothly.

Urge Israel to Release Palestinian Hunger Striker

Khader Adnan, a 33-year old Palestinian baker, is currently on his 65th day of hunger strike against his ill-treatment and lack of due process in an Israeli prison. Doctors say Adnan could die at any moment. Demand the release of Adnan from Israeli military officials unless they can charge him with a criminal offense.

Keep Chemical Byproducts Out of Our Food

The harmful method called irradiation has been used on our food for decades. This system of applying ionizing radiation to foods is supposed to eliminate bacteria, but it is ineffective, expensive, and actually harmful to us. The USDA spends money on expanding this method and labeling foods that have been treated with it instead of improving current farm practices to eliminate harmful bacteria. Tell the USDA to redirect their priorities and protect us from unnecessary radiation.

Tell Pork Corporations to Stop Using Torturous Gestation Crates

A recent video shows the use of gestation crates in two of the United States’ largest pork producing companies. Gestation crates are cruel forms of confinement used for sows during and after pregnancy. We need to convince Seaboard Foods and Prestage Farms to stop using these crates due to the horrible effects they have on their swine.
