Military servicewomen are twice as likely as civilians to be sexually assaulted, and yet they are the only recipients of federal health care who are banned from receiving health coverage for abortion in the case of rape. Every day in Ecuador, women are raped, beaten, humiliated and starved because of their sexual orientation. In ex-lesbian clinics across the country, women are being held against their will and subjected to these torturous conditions as part of an effort to ‘cure’ their homosexuality. Tell the Ecuadoran government to end these brutal human rights violations by shutting down the clinics where this is taking place.
