Save Wolves From Slaughter in America

Target: U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
Goal: Stop the wolf slaughter in America.

Wolves in the United States are under attack. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is poised to remove protections for these important and majestic animals. The result would be a wholesale slaughter of wolves, the likes of which have not been seen in modern history.

Since 1973, wolves have been protected under the Endangered Species Act. In the past two years, protections have been removed for wolves in the northern Rocky Mountains and western Great Lakes. States in these regions have instituted aggressive hunting and trapping seasons resulting in more than 1,600 wolf deaths.

Despite the horror that state management has been, the Fish and Wildlife Service has now proposed removing wolf protections in the remainder of the lower 48 states. The plan abandons wolf recovery in the Pacific Northwest, southern Rocky Mountains, Northeast, California and other sensitive regions.

Please ask the Fish and Wildlife Service to reject this highly destructive plan to abandon wolves to slaughter across America.

President Obama visited S Africa very recently. He has pledged assistance to aid the cause of anti Rhino and elephant poaching in Africa but he ignores his own country’s environmental issues. Smacks of politics all the way. One More Generation (OMG) have been for some time attempted to have an audience with our president Jacob Zuma to present him with letters of concern regarding the poaching in Africa. They have not been successful. How concerned really is JZ? As I have said smacks of politics all the way!

The Center For Biological Diversity has uncovered evidence that delisting was accomplished improperly, and thus may be illegal.
    This needs serious follow-up.

Enough is enough. Stop holding back. You are doing the wrong thing. I demand that the wolves stay protected. Don’t fail.
