Demand Nestle Stop Torturing Animals

Target: Nestle C.E.O., Paul Bulcke

Goal: Demand Nestle end its history of significant animal cruelty

The Nestle Corporation has a sordid history of torturing animals by testing its products on them in cruel and unusual ways, often going above and beyond required legal testing on the chance that they might discover some presumed health benefits they can use to shill their products.

Even though beverage companies are not legally required to test their products on animals, Nestea, a Nestle brand, has force-fed green tea extracts to mice that were specifically bred with brain dysfunctions and given shock treatments, and others that were injected with toxic chemicals to induce diabetes. They induced high cholesterol in rats and again force-fed the green tea extracts. All the animals were then killed.

More recently, the Nestle Corporation was involved in an even more egregious scandal along with other food company giants, where rabbits, rats, and piglets were tortured and killed as a result of animal testing. The animals were starved for hours, force-fed probiotic bacteria and hydrochloric acid and left to suffer before being ultimately killed.

Nestle was accused of a further test where mice were injected with a chemical irritant to induce colon disease. The pain was such that they stopped eating, and were force-fed a preparation of skim milk and goji berries, to test their healing properties.

Inducing illness and torturing helpless animals is not an acceptable or humane way to test for potential health benefits of a product, and this practice should not be tolerated in a modern society. A full list of Nestle brands can be found here.

Please sign this petition to send a message to Nestle that you refuse to support or condone the torture of animals in order to sell products.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Paul Bulcke,

Your corporation has an egregious history of animal torture. More and more consumers are being made aware of the inhumane and unethical practices your company utilizes in order to claim the health benefits of your products, and we refuse to support this sort of cruelty.

The hideous tests that you have performed on rats, rabbits, piglets, and mice are not even required by law to protect the safety of consumers. You have elected to abuse and kill these animals for profit.

Please end your practices of animal cruelty under all of your brands and subsidiaries. Consumers will not stand for this any longer, and I pledge to boycott Nestle products, under all brand names, until this issue is resolved.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

  3. Well, that’s that then. Nestle boycotted and taken off the shelves etc from our shop AND university cafetaria!

  4. Experimentalists have to stop immediately these kind of infantile, cruel and barbaric tests on living creatures by apply strongest justice to them – SEND THEM TO THE WORKLESS ONLY !

Animal testing is unnecessary and the results unreliable. This has been proven.
So these establishments are just a means for monsters to torture and kill animals.
In the 21st century do we really believe this is furthering our knowledge at all?
Absolutely not! This is murder for murder’s sake and UNBEARABLY FOR CIVILIZED SOCIETIES.

WHICH AUTHORITY IS ABLE TO EFFORD SICK ABUSES LIKE THIS ?

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY WRONG AND UNACCEPTABLE !!!
THE LAW IS TO CHANGE AND HAVE TO STOP THAT UNHUMANE ACTING !

HAVE YOU LOST YOUR HUMANITY OR YOUR BRAIN, PERSONS RESPONSIBLE?

People need to vote unacting dumb authorities and officials acting irresponsibly to futuregenerations out of occupations NOW AND FOR ALL!

Normaltive ethic includes the claim on generally liability.

DEFORMED MONSTERS ACTING IRRESPONSIBLE SHOULD REALLY KICK THE BUCKET AS SOON AS EVER POSSIBLE TO STOP THIS INFANTILISM AND UNHUMANE WORLDWIDE DISASTERS – WHO IN OUR WORLD NEEDS ALL OF THAT GREED INFANTILE DESTRUCTIVE KILLERMONSTERS ?

  5. Simon Romer says:

Dear Nestle, please clarify if you are doing this or not. I will find it necesary to avoid Nestle products until I am reassured

  6. The fact that an international food company is torturing and killing animals in order to test which and how much chemicals, carcinogenic contents, genetically modified substances, etc. they can put into their products without running the risk of being successfully sued by consumers, should make us stop refusing to realize what animal testings are really for – PROFIT for multi-billion-dollar industries.

But people obviously prefer to stay blind and believe in the fairy tales of our alleged safety after testing on animals!

  7. Petitions are great, please sign. What works even better is not paying these jerks. DONT BUY NESTLE products.

  8. Victoria C. says:

When are legal requirements going to be put is place for transparency and honesty in this shabby business of vivisection and experimentation. Companies like this and P&G run mumsy advertising campaigns to sell their chemical laden cruel products.A lot of people have no idea of this, please share on social media. Although not more than a few asks for petitions at a time as I have been suspended from twitter for too many replies!

Victoria C, 100% correct. The Co-op disgusts me too, shelf upon shelf of Nestle and P&G while their own cruelty-free products are hardly anywhere to be seen, Ethical shopping, I don’t think so. These big companies seem oblivious to their cruel and bad reputation, going back decades. Show your power, shoppers, boycott them.

  10. lulu tiznado says:

totalmente en contra de sus practicas inhumanas, los animales tambien son seres vivos y tienen derechos al igual que nosotros, ellos tienen quien los proteja……en dado caso experimenten con sus familiares….asesinos…..KILLERS!!!

  11. Kat Ferguson says:

If those SOBs wouldn’t do it to their family members why on earth would they subject another living being to it? There’s nothing in the world that’s needed so much that torture is the only way to obtain it. And ultimately I’d LOVE to know how they think what is viable on an animal will translate to humans anyway. They’re just a bunch of sick idiots who think ‘science’ gives them license to murder.
