Target: El Al Airlines
Goal: Stop forty monkeys from being shipped on El Al Airlines to be cruelly and lethally experimented on.
It has been reported that forty monkeys will be shipped from Israel to Everett, Washington via El Al Airlines for laboratory experimentation. A whistle-blower from the Washington-based Shin Nippon Biomedical Laboratories has reported on the cruel and lethal treatment of animals. This includes the caged isolation of monkeys (against U.S. law), monkeys being restrained to chairs while being drugged intravenously, and bones being broken.
Shin Nippon Biomedical Laboratories’ customers include Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Eli Lilly, AstraZeneca, Genentech, and Seattle Genetics. With this information being made public, it is unacceptable for an international company with such clout as El Al Airlines to be sending animals to known torture.
Other airlines, including Cathay Pacific, EVA Air, China Airlines, Delta Airlines, Qantas, American Airlines, British Airways, and Aer Lingus have vowed to ban the transport of primates to laboratories. Sign below to urge El Al Airlines to follow suit in this stand against animal cruelty.
Dear El Al Airlines,
It is now public knowledge that Shin Nippon Biomedical Laboratories is a violator of U.S. animal welfare law. They have physically restrained, psychologically tortured, and lethally injected primate test subjects for their business benefit.
Other airlines, including Cathay Pacific, EVA Air, China Airlines, Delta Airlines, Qantas, American Airlines, British Airways, and Aer Lingus have banned the shipment of primates for animal testing. Please join these major airlines in protesting against the cruel treatment of animals by refusing to ship the forty monkeys slated for delivery in Everett, Washington.
