Hold Wyoming Premium Farms Employees Accountable For Abusing and Neglecting Pigs

Target: Doug DeRouchey, Wyoming Premium Farms manager

Goal: To demand Wyoming Premium Farms holds its employees accountable for the flagrant neglect and horrifying abuse of its piglets and sows.

In a horrifying video from the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), piglets were grabbed and thrown in the air and sows were punched, kicked, and beaten. Many of the animals were also left to suffer with gaping holes in their flesh. The HSUS alleges that these documented cases of animal abuse occurred at Wyoming Premium Farms, which Tyson Foods makes purchases from. Tell Wyoming Premium Farms Manager Doug DeRouchey that a full and thorough investigation into these horrific cases of abuse must be conducted and offenders must be held accountable.

In one segment of the video footage, which now has a home on the Huffington Post, a worker is seen cruelly placing her weight on a sow’s broken limb. The sow screams out in pain as she curses and yells at it to move faster. Another segment shows male workers throwing piglets down the farm’s hallways. These piglets are subsequently kicked into their cages and slammed into walls. They are completely terrified, and it is utterly horrifying to watch.

But according to Care2.com reporter Tara Holmes, DeRouchey has refused to hold his workers accountable for their heartless actions, citing a lack of evidence. He commented that he “needs more than a four-minute video as proof of wrong-doing”, though this short video clearly shows acts of abuse were committed.

HSUS reports that the farm is owned by Itoham America Inc., a company that sells to Tyson Foods. The Huffington Post reports that Tyson is “the world’s second largest meat processor.”

“A company that we own has purchased hogs from the farm,” Tyson Foods spokesman Worth Sparkman told the Post. “We will not purchase from this farm until we’ve had a chance to investigate.”

The acts committed against these animals were completely unjustifiable. Wyoming Premium Farms must take action against these employees and cooperate with its state’s anti-cruelty statute. Thankfully, HSUS is pushing local law enforcement to prosecute these abusers, and DeRouchey must hold his workers accountable. By signing the petition below, you will demand that Wyoming Premium Farms takes swift action in this matter.

PETITION LETTER:

Dear Manager DeRouchey,

A recently released video from the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), shows piglets and sows on Wyoming Premium Farms being tortured and neglected. Your piglets and sows were shown being thrown, stomped on, kicked, and beaten. You must hold your workers accountable for these heartlessly cruel abuses.

All animals deserve to be treated with compassion and respect. It is clear that piglets and sows on Wyoming Premium Farms were treated as mere commodities to be used and abused at will. This HSUS video is a horrifying testament to how some of this company’s workers disregard Wyoming’s anti-cruelty statute.

It is imperative that you begin conducting a thorough investigation of all employees implicated in this matter. Please commit to taking action immediately.

Sincerely,

[Your Name Here]

    Dear Mr. DeRouchey,

a camera might be patient in recording your hypocritical statements about animal cruelty for the world to see on the news. Who is responsible for the barbaric cruelty going on on your farm? Just your employees or the ones who are running the company, that means YOU and YOU and YOU!!!!!! If you had spent more money on supervising your obviously incapable bunch of workers, these abuses and perverse treatments of the animals would have never happened. I am glad that I am a vegetarian. Your deceit is a disgrace to America!! Rott in hell, you manager!

  4. I never eat pork because of the cruelty towards pigs by some people. I don’t eat any meat now.

  5. Katie Sims says:

Derouchey and your hired help vultures: You think you got away with torture on those pigs. You think nothing will come of it. Wrong ! You’ve been involved in the torture of those pigs since that Death Camp has been there, Japan is in Japan, what do they care? Your stuck out there in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming thinking nobody will ever find out. Wrong ! Look you EVIL Bunch of Red Neck Vultures. Pig advocates around the country will make sure you go to JAIL and never work agin with pigs. We will be following you and making sure your not in the pig industry ever agin.

You had better fire all of those hoodlums now including yourself , you disgusting pieace of trash that you all are. For every SECOND that those pigs suffered, so shall you and your bunch. We demand that the D A give you the same amount of torture that you gave those pigs, nothing less. We won’t stand for nothing less put it that way.

People in high places in other parts of the country are making sure action is taken against you and you and your friends inside the death camp will never be able to hide your face. You must be punished right along with the Vultures that did the torture.

Thank you undercover worker for turning over the tapes. Thank you Livestock Board for what you are going to do next to punish them. Thank you D A for not only giving them jail time , but , make it where they have to stand in Stink up to there ankles somewhere all day, with a guard looking over them. Force them to work at the most painful job you can think of, and give them alot of jail time.

To think this Pigs have been tortured since that death camp was put there is to much to bare. Shocking.

For every precious pig that screamed , beg for you to stop, screamed for help, screamed in pain, was abused, poked at, holes put in flesh, stomped on, thrown, made fun of, cursed at, broken bones given, stomped on beat up crippled and given no water, stood there and dripped water drops to watch pig die,
pigs that were thrown against the wall by there hind legs, hooks put in mouth and tortured drugged to death playing torture games with them, stabbing them giving them big holes in there flesh.

Every single one of those pigs that screamed out in agony , a death scream…….. You and your creature friends will now go thru the same torture. It may be a mental torture for the rest of your lives. It may be from a torture inflicted upon your bodys. But I asure you all , I declare this now, so shall it be.
A curse is upon your lives right now. God made animals and he won’t allow torture on them no more then he will a human. You’ll find out !!!!

      Katie,
I have been absolutely outraged and crying my eyes out over these videos. They just showed them in Houston and I am so sick to my stomach! Everything that you said above, I agree with, with all my heart. Idiot Doug needs to be beaten to a bloody pulp and all those SOB’S in that story and video that took part and has taken part in the past, need to DIE! What good are they to Humanity? Why should they live? What good are they to ANYONE? They are all sadistic! I AM MAD! SHUT THAT PLACE DOWN NOW. Doug and your stupid employees….you are not fit to do anything for America. Get your asses out of here! You don’t belong here. You all are complete LOSERS! I hope you all get maximum sentences for this incredible, blatant cruelty! DAMN YOU WYOMING PREIMUM FARMS!

      • Mary Goodsell says:

To all of you on here:

The only way I can get through the day is knowing that I have seen you all responding to this horrific documentary on Wyoming Premium Farms and I Thank God to have met you all on here. You all can be guaranteed this – if I physically would walk into one of these barbaric factory farms, I would not make it out of there alive, truly my heart would stop; the pain and agony that is emanating from each one of the animals would stab every part of my body and spirit to the point of death.

I have some news to share-I spent the day today passing out brochures about factory farming for our organization Compassionate Action for Animals here in Minneapolis at a May Day festival; a young man approached me and said that he wanted to thank me and that he wanted me to know that he was from Iowa and also wanted to share with me that a large coalition of independent farmers in the State of Iowa are working their asses off to get the large corporate factory farms out of their state, because the independent farmers want their life and their farms back and operating like it is suppose to which is humane farming, not factory.

Please is there some way we could get these postings that we have here to Wyoming? If all of you don’t mind I would be willing to type up what we have here and send it to them. Pleae let me know your thoughts to Mary Goodsell on Facebook. I am the one with the white goat in the picture.

        MARY GOODSELL

Your words say and mean everything i feel about this, i admire you and happy to see so many others that are outraged over this.

    • Jim Estabrook says:

BRAVO MADAME, BRAVO!!!!!! MAY GOD AND HIS SON JUSUS CHRIST, OUR LORD BLESS AND KEEP YOU ALL THE DAYS OF YOUR LIFE! i HATE TO ADMIT IT, BUT I AM A MEAT EATER, I MAY STOP BEING ONE AFTER WITNESSING THIS HORRIFIC, SADISTIC AND DASTARDLY SCENE. PRISON IS TOO GOOD FOR THESE PEOPLE, BUT REST ASSURED, THEY WILL HAVE TO ANSWER TO A HIGHER POWER IN THE END, THEN, THEY WILL BE ACCORDED THE SAME GRACE AND PEACE THEY SHOWED TO THE ANIMALS IN THEIR CARE!

  6. To Katie Sims:

I was just getting ready to write exactly what you wrote, but you have said everything that I wanted to say!

I think of these pigs daily and my heart breaks, and I really pray that they shut down for business Wyoming Premium Farms. This “farm” should not be in business on this planet. And what is really disturbing are the people that work there and I pray, pray, pray that justice is served harshly as possible. It really hurts every fiber of my being to see what these pigs went through.

PLEASE WYOMING PREMIUM FARMS – RELEASE THE PIGS TO QUALIFIED PEOPLE AND BE OUT OF SIGHT OF THE PIG’S VIEW AND BE SURE TO GET RID OF THE BUILDING THAT HOUSED THESE SWEET ANIMALS. PLEASE CLOSE DOWN THIS FARM. IT IS VERY PAINFUL TO EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU EVEN WERE IN BUSINESS. PLEASE CLOSE DOWN FOR BUSINESS.

  7. srichko53 says:

Since these pigs are supposed to be raised under USDA guidlines, i would think this should be considered to be a federal crime, the FBI and the Department of AGRICULTURE should also be looking into this crime. I hope they dont try and tell everyone that if severe action is taken the price of pork will rise. Thats the kinda of bullshit i’am afraid will come from this.

    • Do you know USDA “guidelines”?

I can tell you that they almost have none, and are in the process to get rid of the rest as well, so they can freely abuse however they feel like it. That is filthy corporate America for you.

FDA? Wrong address as well, since they give a sh*t.

Both corrupt and do not care at all about animal rights.

  8. Sue Binder says:

This torture chamber does not qualify for the name “Premium” or “Farm”. The horror and torture those animals endure is off the charts.

How do these “people” function in society, and family settings, when they are capable of such cruelity. Who pays the price when a spouse or child does not do their bidding??

They are not capable of love or compassion, may they live a long and painful, tortured life, with a million pleading eyes haunting them for all of their days.

    • Sue – I agree with you a thousand percent. I’m putting their “name” on here to make it loud and bright that the message gets conveyed to the very evil people that run this horrific torture chamber.

I sent several letters also to the City of Wheatland to let them know, in case they’re “unaware” of the atrocious nature of their businesses located in their town.

    • That is Factory Farming for you.
90% of all meat in this very ill country comes from THAT !

  9. Steve Walden says:

Liberate the pigs by force and then burn the farm to the ground!

    • Steve – same here, that’s exactly what I’ve been thinking. I’ve sent several letters out there requesting that they shut down this torture chamber.

  10. Patty B. says:

Horrible to watch this video of innocent animals being abused. Shame on those scumbags.

  11. Lucy Almeida says:

Derouchey and the rest of those barbaric low class employees who tortured and had zero compassion for these pigs whom did absolutely nothing to deserve this cruely. Hope you guys burn in hell and your family too. I would volunteer to kick your child like a football. How you like them apples? Hope you and those employees who tortured these pigs die a slow painful death and come back a pig in your stupid farm. SHAME ON YOU AND THE WHOLE ORGANIZATION!!!! PLEASE GO DIE SOMEWHERE. PEOPLE LIKE YOU MAKE ME WITH YOU WERE ABORTED. HAVE FUN IN HELL SCUM BAGS READ THIS AND GO KILL YOURSELF. YOU SERVE NO PURPOSE ON THIS EARTH. HELL IS WAITING. GOT A PROBLEM? COME SEE ME I WILL TEAR YOU A NEW A-HOLE OR TWO! LOW LIVES!

  12. Lucy Almeida says:

Hey DeRouchey! wish you and the other employees that tortured these pigs die a slow painful death. I wish people like you were aborted! How you like it if I kicked your babies like a football? How you like them apples! Hope you come back as a pig in your farm. Karma is b*tch. Now go die somewhere and go to hell already. Satan is calling your names. Toodles Tadpoles!

  13. Jasmine Garcia says:

This is absolutely appauling. Now what did those innocent pigs and piglets do to deserve this horrific life? Its bad enough they are going to be killed and to make their lives even more horrific is just plain barbaric. This is not the first time I’ve heard stories of ill practices from Tyson’s vendors. I don’t think Tyson cares to be honest. We as people need to stop the support of this cruelty. No demand No supply!!! It would stop all this madness. Hope the people who tortured these pigs get what is coming to them. There is a God watching and don’t pray to HIM when you’re in Satan’s palace.

  14. Pat Pfaffenhauser says:

This was the most horrible thing I have ever seen. The people involved in this should be arrested and put in jail for a long time. I will never buy a product from this company again. I am a Wyomingite and we are not a bunch of cruel hicks. Mr. Derouchey YOU need to be accountable for the actions that go on in your company,SHAME on YOU!!! By ignoring this YOU are just as guilty as those idiots doing the abusing. You need to resign and get a person with a heart to run this horrid company!!!!

    • Really?

Well, Factory Farming is 90% of your meat=the animal parts on your plate and you support every biy of this by eating animals.

  15. Mary Mason says:

Has anything been done about this place and the evil, inhumane employees ??????

. I wonder if any of them really care about the animals that lve There are too, too many of these farms with the criminally abusive employees.
Most of the law makers put Animal Rights very low on the totem pole and there are not enough USDA investigators to pursue these cases, or even care ! ??

  16. I guess everybody is still okay with the torture of confinement these animals have to endure their entire live so that you people can have a piece of them on your plate?
If people would stop eating these animals any sort of abuse would not be even possible.

A pig is more intelligent than your pooch. Why not try dog or people for that matter–we used to do that , and frankly haven’t evolved much looking at the horror we induce on farm animals who are helpless, peaceful creatures; something I can’t say about most people?

  17. It is stunning how little people know about Factory Farming.

    Please go to: https://www.facebook.com/FightMyOwn?ref=hl
to learn more about what you support; that is if you care enough!
